BEAUTY CHEAT SHEET
Makeup
- Work a luminous foundation into skin. Use a sponge or brush to apply, then follow with your fingers – their warmth will ensure your base sinks in seamlessly.
- Create definition in your face by using a contour brush to whisk a dark matte powder (go two shades darker than your skin) beneath your cheekbones.
- Dab an illuminising cream along the upper cheekbones to make them pop.
- Lift your lashes with an eyelash curler. Next, apply a couple of coats of mascara and a flick of eyeliner to create sleek eye definition.
- Next, define your brows, and brush them into place.
- Take a deep shade of lipstick and apply straight from the tube, or with a brush. Blot with a tissue then repeat application. Finally, smooth any wonky edges by lining lips with a pencil in a similar shade to your lipstick.
- Your finishing touch: lightly dust your t-zone to strike out excess shine and set your makeup.
Hair
- Apply mousse throughout the hair, section by section, roots to ends – and dry into the hair.
- Take a tail comb and create a low side part.
- Using a medium-sized tong, curl hair in sections starting at the nape. Wrap hair upwards around the barrel of the tong.
- Pin each curl into place with a pin-curl clip.
- When hair has cooled, remove clips and brush the curls through thoroughly with a soft-bristle brush.
- Set in place with hairspray.
