Ah, the eternal glow: dewy, gleaming and shiny in all the right places.
It often manifests after one of those dreamy holidays in a far-flung nook or some serious hours spent in front of the mirror (and some complex YouTube tutorials).
But, did you know you can get that same glow in less than five minutes?
Here are three easy steps to achieve your most well-rested radiance ever (sans the sleep).
1. Strobe Sista
An all over strobe instantly lifts your face and gives you that much desired patina and polish. Post-moisturiser and pre-foundation; apply a light strobe cream over the entire face. Avoid a midday disco disaster and use one that is sheer and sans any heavy glitter. Try Charlotte Tilbury’s Wonderglow or Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder Morning Aura, which also doubles as a primer and moisturiser (glow and prime in one? Glowing genius). The best part? You’re good to go, or glow, just like that.
2. Ditch the contour
Throw light, not shade; skip the lengthy contour, and choose to highlight only. Just highlighting can bring a freshness to your face a heavy (and often muddy) contour can’t. Plus, it’s super quick and easy compared to a full-blown, confusing contour (seriously, have you seen those contour charts?). Dust highlighter across cheekbones, the tip of the nose, at the point between your eyes, under your eyebrow arches and atop your cupid’s bow for the ultimate pick-me-up potion. Remember, highlighter can be too dark or too light, so find one that matches your complexion and foundation. For richer colourings, try a coppery bronze like Laura Mercier’s Indiscretion, for milkier tones, Devotion delivers a cooler pearlescent glimmer.
3. Turn around, Bright Eyes
Line the inner rim of your eye with a vanilla coloured pencil for the brightest, bushy-eyed peepers. Whilst white has long been hailed as the tool for lifting tired eyes – it can sometimes be too stark for certain eye colours and can actually have the opposite effect – i.e. crying eyes – eek! Fake 12 hours sleep with Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder’s Kajal in Vanille for your brightest eyes yet.
And, voila! A glow-y guise in less than five minutes.
