How To Get Camera Ready Skin Like Actress Anna Bamford

Anna Bamford, best known for her romantic role in the TV series Wonderland. She also had a guest appearance in Ch7 TV show Home & Away.

Anna also enjoyed appearing in the Sydney Theatre Company’s production of The Present along-side Cate Blanchett. This rising star is all go go go, not to mention she’s the face and brand ambassador of popular skincare brand – Dr. LeWinn’s.

Anna, how do you keep your skin looking so flawless?

Oh Thanks! The foundation is good (laughs). No, I cleanse and exfoliate. I feel like exfoliating is actually really important to get all of the make-up off, like the foundation. I usually use an exfoliate three times a week but if I have been working that day and have had heavy [screen] make-up on then I will give my face a good scrub!

Having that amount of make-up put on and taken off your skin must take its toll?

I find that moisture is they key. Getting that moisture back into your skin, especially if it’s been dried out from all the make-up and the constant removal and re-application of make-up.  I use the Dr LeWinn’s eternal youth serum and moisturiser, they work really well together and feel beautiful and soothing on my skin. I always use an SPF everyday. The Dr LeWinn’s day cream has an SPF, so I recommend finding a good day cream with SPF.

Do you have any on-set beauty tips or tricks?

I use a little toning mist which I spritz over my face before a take. It’s great for if your skin is feeling a bit dry or your skin has maybe started to sink into your facial creases, it just gives it a little boost so your skin and makeup looks refreshed.

What foundation brand do you like to use?

I like to use NARS because their foundation is really light and has a dewy look and texture to it. But normally I don’t wear foundation that much, I prefer the feel of my skin without it, so I try not to use it.

(Maybe that’s one of the secret’s behind her flawless skin!)

What’s your go to make-up look for an audition?

Well it changes depending on where I am. If I’m auditioning here in Australia, it’s a very natural look, very much who you are, minimal make-up. Whereas, in America everything is turned up a lot, it’s Hollywood so it’s that next level, everything is more glitz and glam and vamped-up. For instance in America, I went to an audition wearing heels, where as if I went into an audition over here in heels, it would feel way too over the top and showy.
