Here are our favourite Met Gala beauty looks on the models-of-the-moment and ‘it’ girl gang thus far…
Zoë Kravitz
Rock offspring and all-round-it-girl, Zoë Kravitz, embraced a more classic guise for this year’s Met Gala. With her maquillage care of YSL Beauty, she opted for a perfectly executed black winged liner, a bronzed-up base with contoured cheek, and a swipe of luminous lipstick, in a peachy pink hue. Inside her beauty bag for the night was Rouge Volupté Shine N. 47, Touche Éclat Pen and Touche Éclat Compact Perfector, so you can mimic her exact beauty notes.
Kylie Jenner
The Jenner juggernaut began with Kylie’s heavily embellished Balmain gown, and that crop. With her chameleonic hair sparking discussion the world over, King Kylie opted for a sleek, cropped and very blunt ‘do, in her natural jet-black colour. Nude was the makeup du jour; with those lips coated in a near-matte finish, a heavy Chanel Soliel bronze base, and earthy eyes dotted with copper sparkles and deep caramel tones.
Kendall Jenner
Similarly to her sister, Kendall favoured a beige, natural beauty look. With subtle highlight through the t-zone and atop cheekbones, lips were nude with the focus on eyes, with dark eyes and big lashes. Hair was pulled back tight into a low-bun, and slicked, with slight height through the centre; a sexy look to match an equally sexed-up frock.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
Like the English rose(ie) she is, Miss Huntington-Whiteley steered clear of the heavy, futuristic cues of the evening, and opted for traditional tones. Her bee-stung pout was stained in a soft coral, cheeks we flushed peach, eyes were reminiscent of old Hollywood and her blonde do’ was pulled back in a low-bun, and slicked thickly with gel.
Adriana Lima
The Victoria Secret angel always boasts wow-factor beauty, and the Met Gala was not exception. She topped the Met Gala Beauty Class of 2016 with futuristic hints; black-rimmed eyes with sweeps of metallic silver in the inner corners, a strong red pout and a low bun with slight quiff at the front.
Poppy Delevingne
One of the most defining looks of the ball, Poppy Delevingne always pushes the boundaries come beauty and fashion. It was white witch with a glamorous injection; long, dead-straight platinum locks, parted deeply to one side and tucked behind ears (a stark contrast to her cropped candy ‘do at Coachella). Makeup wise, she had flushes of bronze on her cheeks, large fluttery lashes and uber dark crimson lip, statement beauty to match her garish fashion.
Hailey Baldwin
One of the latest crop of ‘it’ girls, Hailey Baldwin stuck to her glamorous guns and opted for her usual sexy guise. Eyes were smoky; in tones of grey, silver and black, skin was flawlessly dewy with sheen in just the right places, and her pout was painted in matte nude. She upped the sex tones with a tight, high and super-slicked pony; va-va-voom vibes all round.
