High drama on TV and in Australian politics this year saw Wentworth & Sky News take home the big 2015 ASTRA award at this years awards. E! News queen, Giuliana Rancic, and host of this year’s ASTRAs, lead a glamorous parade of Australia’s best TV & Radio on the red carpet for our entertainment industry’s night of nights.
Danielle Cormack from gritty prison drama Wentworth not only took out the best lead actress award for the SoHo prison series, but also impressed the fashion police in her stunning black sequinned Zhivago gown.

Elsewhere on the red carpet, MYER ambassador Jennifer Hawkins rocked out an Alex Perry gown, Antonia Kidman opted for a purple Escada jumpsuit, day-time talk show queen Kerrie-Anne Kennerley flashed her superbly toned pins in a royal blue thigh-high split gown while Marta Dusseldorp, Kate Peck and Abby Earl also opted for black, wearing Giorgio Armani, Zhivago, Aurelio Costarella and Ginger & Smart. And the men? The fellas were lead by Don Hany (of Offspring fame) who cut a dashing figure on the red carpet in Farage, while Alex Perry stood out in a white bow tie and black Hugo Boss tuxedo.

E! News and Fashion Police presenter Guiliana Rancic jetted in to Los Angeles to host the awards at The Star in Sydney – whipping her slight frame in and out of a multitude of different gowns throughout the night. Giuliana flew the flag for Australian style wearing six gowns by local designers including Australia’s Next Top Model favourite, Alex Perry. Giuliana is an industry icon on the red carpet for every major event in the entertainment industry including the Oscars, Grammy Awards and Golden Globes. “This will be my third trip to Australia and each time I come I fall in love with the country a little bit more,” Giuliana said. “I’m hoping to become an honorary Aussie one day.” We hope so too Giuliana!
