Acne Studios are the master of outerwear silhouettes, this wool dress is tailored to perfection. The smart lapel and shoulders, contrasting loose oversized arms, cinched waist and curved hemline, as well as the metal breast detailing is flawless; layered over the delicate sheer leopard-printed top is a match made in heaven.

Balenciaga’s first show with Alexander Wang out of the helm was a success. The layering and wide V-necklines were a hit. The mixing of leather with shearling, pleats, sharp tailoring and tweed was a texture and style mash defying the boundaries of clear cut biker/preppy looks.

Backstage at the Dior show rocking delicate silhouettes and power tailoring. The mix of patterns and shapes transcend defined styles, it’s modern and experimental.

We saw more mismatching at Kenzo, layering animal prints with checks and florals in Victorian style with high ruched necklines and puffed shoulders. The plainer ensembles played with size and stitching. Unapologetically bold.

The Victorian neckline was also a feature at the Isabel Marant show, the combination of these brilliant contrasting textures look so luxurious on a neutral palette. Elegance with a country twist.

The Louis Vuitton show was a style rebellion. The exaggerated contrast seams and colour blocking, strong structures and silky slip dresses, tight geometric dresses with peplum hems. The models wore dark lips, natural hair and defiant pouts, this season’s Louis Vuitton girl is a rule-breaker.

Valentino’s dreamy collection was showed on an enormous dark runway, we were certainly feeling the ethereal trance vibes.

Up close with a Valentino masterpiece: the fine layers of colour, intricate embellishments and delicate, floaty structure of this gown are nothing short of exquisite.
