The red carpet is walked upon by some of the biggest A-list celebrities in Hollywood. These stunning creatures are dressed head to toe in some of the world’s finest fashion designers. Us mere mortals can only dream of walking down one of the most prestigious walkways in showbiz, adorned with the likes of Chanel and Givenchy. However, you would expect that when you have world renowned designers calling you up to dress you in their latest custom gown, that most celebrities would look flawless. Wrong, they’re only human like us, and they too can fall into the trap of a fashion faux pas.
Kate Winslet
Unfortunately Kate looks like she has stretched a shiny bin bag over her voluptuous curves for this year’s 88th Academy Awards. At least if she spills a drink down her it will come right off, no need to worry about those red wine stains.
Heidi Klum
The dress is very pretty and floaty and wouldn’t look out of place at a little girl’s princess party, where Heidi could play the fairy godmother. The shape of the dress does a wonderful job of hiding her killer model figure and the lilac flowers look like something you would expect to get from your prom date back in the 80s. Overall, we’ve definitely seen Heidi looking better, the dress makes her look older than she is, which is ridiculous because we all know she’s an absolute babe.
Kerry Washington
The Scandal star looks like she had trouble choosing between the dominatrix look and a Grecian bride to be. The top and bottom are completely disjointed from each other and are about as compatible as chalk and cheese. However, we like her confidence in wearing leather on the red carpet, its bold and daring, but sadly this outfit is not going to be making waves in the fashion world.
Whoopi Goldberg
Her all in black ensemble doesn’t her any favours, not to mention the creepy looking octopus accessory wrapped around her hand. Maybe Whoopie was watching too many pirates of the Caribbean when she chose this outfit; it would fit in perfectly on the jolly roger but not the red carpet.
Who do you think wore it best at the Oscars?
