Melbourne Cup Day is here and it’s going to be different this year that’s for sure. With the public not allowed to the racing event of the year for the first time ever, we can only watch the horses on the telly.
But that doesn’t stop us at having a look at the fashions of the fields from years gone by. Let’s take a look at the celebrities who dared to leave their black and white outfits at home, and come out in bold colours by wearing – Royal Red!
As the celebs arrived at The Flemington race course in previous years many a fine lady wore ravishing red numbers. Jennifer Hawkins and Havana Brown were amongst the celebs on red alert who really stopped traffic with their stunning outfits.
Jennifer Hawkins went red for red in her plunging Misha collection playsuit and wide brimmed hat from Melissa Jackson.
Dj Havana Brown who will be performing at the Sensis tent later today also opted for a striking red outfit. She looks simply stunning in her off-the-shoulder dress, flowing sleeves, gold strappy heels and golden crown.
Lindy Klim went for a military-style incredible Dolce & Gabanna outfit that would make anyone stand to attention.

Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich posed together at The Melbourne Cup. Anna is dressed in New York brand Cinq à Sept and wears a gold and red leaf head piece from Viktoria Novak.
Anna Heinrich posted on her Instagram saying ‘”When in doubt wear RED” and she is “REaDy”.

Looking cute and romantic in her red lace dress from company, White Suede was Steph Claire-Smith.
Steph has gone for a softer girlier version of the red trend at this years Melbourne Cup. Paired with cute pastel heels from brand No 21, star head-piece from Lady Of Leisure Millinery and clutching a ‘little miss lucky’ book clutch from Olympia Le-Tan. Hoping that it will bring her some luck as she places her bets in the races.
