The Arrival
Held at the gorgeous waterfront address, Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, Sydney turned on the sunny skies for the Kardashian Kids clothing launch, available exclusively at Big W. Security was high as guests’ names where checked off the PR list upon entry. Inside, a magical playground awaited, with ceiling installations featuring balloons and a fairy light canopy showcasing the collection. And, as a launch event mandatory, a blackboard featured the relevant social media handles and hashtags for bloggers and media to tag in their posts. It’s called event ‘amplification’, darling!
Food Was Calling
It’s not a KK launch without food, and in this case, there was ample of it. And it was *mainly* healthy. There was more fruit than the Garden of Eden, yoghurt parfait, corn on the cob (although I must admit I didn’t see one fashion blogger with a cob of corn in her gob) and vegie sticks galore. Perfect for avoiding sugar-hit kids running riot!
Then there were the roving canapés, which are always the perfect bite size – the last thing you want is Khloe popping over for a chat and you’re fumbling with a half-eaten goats cheese canapé crumbling between your fingers. Good thinking, caterers.
Drinks To Toast To
For PG rating reasons, I’m not even going to mention the Champagne on offer. Instead, I’ll focus on the lovely liquid refreshments, which included dessert topped coconut water, strawberry milk, fruit juices served in mason jars. Billie McKay would have had a field day!
The Kardashian Kids collection
When guests weren’t demolishing the fruit buffet, they were checking out the collection, of course. Not surprisingly, with North West as a mini muse, there were heaps of frills, metallic, Broderie anglaise, pink and tu-tu cute dresses and skirts. The Kardashian Kids range is available for newborns to size seven.
Khloe Arrived… In Style!
The guest of honour arrived, joking that she was launching the collection sans Kim and Kourtney because “there’s always an excuse – one has a baby and one is pregnant!”
Khloe Smiled For The Camera One Zillion Times
Not surprisingly, everyone wanted a souvenir snap with Khloe, myself included. I managed to wait until every toddler in the room had their turn first without throwing a tantrum (me, that is!). Guests included Jayson Brunsdon (as pictured holding his son, Roman), Terry Biviano and her daughter, and editor Nedahl Stelio.
I couldn’t help myself – I had to get a photo with the most famous Khloe on the planet!
Khloe Mingled With Mini Guests
Little fans got extra attention from Khloe, as she inspected their works of art. One child presented her with a drawing which made everyone’s heart melt.
There Were Activities Galore
Kids thought they’d landed in Kardashian paradise. Activities on-hand for little digits included painting, drawing, t-shirt making, craft, face painting, and of course fairies were on-call to create cool animal balloons.
