The stars pulled out their finest threads, legs and jewels for the 2015 Oscars. Here’s the fashion forecast for your new wardrobe….
Loving the lace: It doesn’t get more feminine than fine French lace. Kelly Osborne gives a rock star spin in black while Giuliana Rancic does head-to-toe demure with a fish-tail flare Steven Kahlil gown.
Looking all white in embellishments. Lupita Nyong’o shows she is the pearl of the sea in a striking custom Calvin Klein with Chopard jewellery. Lady Gaga refuses to get her hands dirty in contemporary ball gown with embellishments custom made by Azzedine Alaia.
Big splits. Emma Stone knows 50 Shades of Green works a treat against striking red hair, and a glimpse of leg. Melanie Griffith and daughter Dakota Johnson, wearing Saint Laurent and Forevermark jewellery, show those curves are definitely hereditary.
What a waist! Cate Blanchett rocks turquoise rocks against a stunning tailored black Maison Margiela back drop frock while Rosamund Pike strikes a red-hot pose in a belted lace Givenchy.
Shape shifters… Margot Robbie’s Saint Laurent plunging neckline and Marion Cotillard’s Christian Dior haute couture are perfect examples that it’s perfectly fine to loosen up.
Black and white and red carpet all over was the theme for gorgeous Julianne Moore, who went classic in Chanel and Reese Witherspoon in Tom Ford.
Busting a move… Jennifer Hudson made us smile in sunshine yellow, Jennifer Lopez rocked a sheer deep-V embellished Elie Saab and everyone else was green with envy over Scarlett Johansson’s Versace stunner.
Reflective of things to come…? Nicole Kidman’s sequinned thigh splitting column dress and Naomi Watt’s geometric black and silver fishtail flare are a shining example of the stars.
Pretty in Pink! Gwyneth Paltrow’s Ralph & Russo haute couture one-shoulder stunner creates soft curves from top to flared bottom and Anna Kendrick’s peachy Thakoon dress and Norman Silverman jewellery sparkle in all the right places.
