Here at The Carousel HQ, we love a style challenge and the one put to us was a goodin’ – can a shoe look good, feel comfy and turn heads? Of course, we all need to know the answer to that one and that’s what we set out to discover.

We began by taking three pairs of shoes chosen for comfort and style and paired them with three on trend outfits. The shoes are the latest  Hush Puppies’ Soleutions Autumn/Winter 2018 range were in the Favourite, Pearl and Yorktese styles and the outfits were from We Are Kindred, M.N.G andLee Mathews.

Below is our three edits of stylish shoes teamed up with our favourite on trend outfits for the Autumn season, which we reckon prove a shoe certainly can look good, feel comfy and still turn heads. Take a look and see for yourself if you agree.

Outfit: Chic and Floaty Look for day and night

Hush Puppies Favourite shoes
The Blossom Button Back Dress $289.00                                        Favourite $139.95

We Are Kindred’s signature Blossom dress was been brought back this season in a gorgeous new hue. This style features 3/4 sleeves with Invisible zips, a button back closure and an uneven waterfall hemline.

The Blue Wysteria print is a We Are Kindred exclusive design and is digitally printed on a soft, textured base. The look is effortless and easy-to-wear. To compliment this elegant blue floral dress, we chose the Favourite sling-back pumps in camel patent leather making it a perfect style duo for special occasions. This classic shoe has arch support, and moisture wicking lining for all day comfort. Best of all, it features Hush Puppies’ best selling block heel construction which is a perfect heel to take you from day to night.

Outfit: Spotted short dress for evening wear

Havana Dress $79.95                                                                              Pearl $149.95

M.N.G work a playful spot print into this season’s coveted wrap silhouette with the Havana Dress. Crafted from woven crepe, the feminine A-line mini design sees a subtle revival of 80’s shoulders with padded puff shoulders and a delicate asymmetrical button front.

We teamed this spotty ensemble up with a classic pair of black high heels making the legs look even longer to make the entire look a real head-turner.

The black Pearl shoe  s is both elegant and sophisticated making it good for the office or a night out.  The feature we love is the flexible Wave Reflex sole with extra padding for all day comfort.

Outfit: Smart casual coat for day or night wear

Lee Mathews Peyten Coat $649.00                                                                              Yorktese $159.95

It’s always a worthwhile investment to buy a new coat each Autumn to keep you warm and looking smart throughout the colder climes and we couldn’t go past this dusky double breasted Lee Mathews’ Peyton Coat.

Autumnal hues elevate this statement coat and the white leather Yorktese flat shoes work perfectly to set up off the entire look. What’s great about these loafers is the quality of the leather. Made in Brazil, they are ideal for fun, everyday wear and come in multiple colours including shiny pink patent leather.

The coat works so well with these shoes. It is a medium weight fabrication for the cooler winter days, and features an oversized collar and lapel, side pockets, back vent and cuff detailing on the sleeves. The coat finishes mid-calf and styled here with the Davis cotton poplin long sleeve shirt and Peyton linen wide leg pant.
