George Clooney & Amal Alamuddin’s Wedding – The Dress, The Ring & The Gifts

Only the very best for the new Mrs Clooney! Created by Oscar de la Renta for Amal and George’s big day was this exquisite custom-made, French lace wedding gown as revealed by Hello! and People magazines.

The beautifully tasteful gown was embroidered with diamanté and pearl detail and sat elegantly off Amal’s shoulders with subtle lace overlay.

The blushing bride told People magazine of Oscar de la Renta “He’s such an elegant designer and such an elegant man.’

Meanwhile, George Clooney cut a swathe at the lavish reception in a dapper black tuxedo created by none other than George’s close friend, Giorgio Armani. And the finishing touches? Cufflinks from his new wife inscribed with “George” (of course) and an 18K white-gold OMEGA De Ville Trésor watch (like this one).

Mr Clooney became Mr ‘Swooney’ as he told Hello!, “My verdict on being Mr and mrs Clooney? It feels pretty damn great.”

We bet it does George…

For the rings? Amal’s wedding ring was, like her, elegant and delicate featuring a simple band of small diamonds. For the gorgeous groom, a simple silver band, not to outshine his bride’s.

With an all-star cast from around the world including U2 singer Bono, Matt Damon and wife Luciana, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, Bill Murray, US Vogue editor Anna Wintour, model Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber, the Hollywood nuptials took place at the Aman Canal Grande hotel in Venice.

Amal’s mother, Baria, told People magazine, “George and Amal radiated love all night. The wedding was so unbelievably special, it was legendary. These three days – the friends, the families, the atmosphere, everything – will stay with me all the rest of my life.
