Chloe’s new fragrance is inspired by the spirit of adventure. This is fitting as the Eau de toilette is a departure for the fragrance house known for it’s rose bouquets. Nomade opens sweetly with fruits and florals but it’s dry down bestows a scintillating desert heat. Think of a hot breeze across a dry landscape carrying the subtle promise lychees and freesias from a secret oasis – sweet, surprising and sensually bohemian. These are all qualities captured by Chloe’s latest muse Ariane Labed, who is perfectly suited to her starring role in the Nomade campaign.
The Nomade Muse:
The French Actress, and soon to be director, is married to Oscar winning director Yorgos Lanthimos. She splits her time between her native home Paris, London and her husband’s ancestral seat in Athens. The Nomade campaign celebrates Ariane’s unique style and spirit. As the actress bounds through Rajasthan in the campaign she brings to mind a 1920s flapper gone rugged on the range. Feminine flourishes, a wavy bob and masculine, louche accessories all contribute to a quintessential French, androgynous sensuality. Of the launch Labed has said that the woman she depicts in the campaign resonated with her. The actress notes that “she is free-spirited, strong and adventurous. She takes on the world, its beauty, and is curious about everything it has to offer”. In an era of digital and geographical nomads with multiple careers, the actress and director is the perfect face for the next generation of Chloe fragrances, and consumers.
