Long before ugly chic was considered high fashion, Birkenstock was a step ahead of the trend through its iconic, comfortable footwear. After all, who hasn’t spotted the brand’s legendary Arizona sandals striding across continents – from sandy beaches and bustling city streets to couture collaborations on the catwalk? As the first brand to introduce contoured footbeds in the 1930s, Birkenstock set the standard for orthopaedic support in sandals. This pioneering spirit and dedication to quality has allowed Birkenstock to stand the test of time.
Now, as they celebrate a staggering 250 years in business, Birkenstock is taking another bold step forward. The Birkenstock Care Essentials collection extends the brand’s mission to prioritise foot wellbeing, with a modern twist. This vegan and Cosmos Natural-certified line cares for your feet and offers a restorative ritual that relaxes, exfoliates, and deeply nourishes.
The collection features six unique products designed to elevate foot care from a chore to an indulgent experience. The Nourishing Foot Balm ($49) features Murumuru butter, pomegranate enzyme, and white willow bark extract to deeply moisturise dry skin. With soothing cedar wood and blood orange oils, it addresses roughness and calluses while providing an energising boost.
The Relief Lotion for Tired Leg & Foot ($49) is perfect for relieving fatigue and tension. With menthol, arnica oil, and eucalyptus, it cools and soothes, making it ideal for post-workout recovery.
Finally, the Comforting Dry Oil ($59) nourishes with jojoba, calendula, and sesame oils. Use it alone, mix it with the foot balm, or add it to bath water for a deeply relaxing experience.
