What happens when Oprah gives you her endorsement? Beysis, a female-founded Australian lifestyle brand, got to find out.
“We can’t believe Oprah is a Beysis customer,” admitted Co-founder, Ariana Hendry. “Overnight she posted about our insulated water bottles on her personal account and tagged us. We woke this morning to an avalanche of orders from the US. Traffic to the website is up over 4,366% and sales have increased 1,200%. As a child growing up in the 80s, I watched Oprah’s talk show religiously. She was the embodiment of female empowerment and shaped my perception of what it meant to be a successful woman in a male dominated industry. So to have an endorsement from her means more than words can say.”
Oprah purchased and customized these bottles for a party last week to honour her friend and fellow filmmaker Ava DuVernay on the occasion of her 50th birthday, and the Beysis team had no idea.
They had no idea that the “Oprah” personalization that was added to one of their iconic water bottles was for THE Oprah until they were spotlighted in a clip of the stardom featuring the personalised bottles and linked on the Oprah Daily website.
Prior to that, they had no idea that the “Oprah” personalization that was added to one of their iconic water bottles was for THE Oprah.
As the host of the three-day celebration held in Maui, Oprah produced gift bags for each of the guests, which were loaded with some of her “most delightful favourite things.”
On the video, Oprah says: “And here’s what I love so much…. I was looking for the perfect water bottle. I love the smoothness of this one when you pull it out of your bag, and the most important [thing] is having everyone’s name on their water bottle”.
Pulling the water bottle out of its packaging and squealing excitedly, Oprah points to the lid of her sage Beysis water bottle, where one of her guests’ names is printed in a beautiful, white cursive font.
Anyone anywhere can personalise their very own water bottle, just like Oprah, via the Beysis website: https://www.beysis.com.
