Ask the Anti-Ageing Expert: Top Beauty Buys

Out and about with the soothsayer of all things anti-ageing, Stephanie Darling talks procedures with Kaye Scott from The Clinic.

What is your skin care routine and your can’t-live-without products?

Start with your cleanser. Everyone says, “Oh the cleanser doesn’t matter, I can buy something cheap and spend my budget on a really good moisturiser.” But this is not correct, cleanser sets the tone for your skin, so a good hydrating cleanser or purifying cleanser is an essential first step. For me, I would use a hydrating cleanser like the Cosmedix Benefit Clean. Aspect Redless is our cult product, it’s got sea buckthorn in it which is the product that calms the skin down and multiple anti-oxidants.

For every day I use Dermaquest Stem Cell 3D Daily Moisturiser and a sunscreen. I think you need to have two sunscreens in your cosmetic wardrobe. One that’s not going to be so conjesting and one for sun exposure which is a 50+ like Actinica. We find that a tinted moisturizer with an SPF like Dermaquest Stem Cells 15+ tinted moisturiser and a little bit of mineral makeup seems to be good for every-day protection. My two new favourites are Cosmedix Eye Genius and Opti Crystal.
