Beauty products that represent good value are always a winner which explains the popularity of the 24 Hour Duo Lipstick for under $10, which just won the title 2018 Product Of The Year Award.
In the 2018 awards, the Lacura range (available at ALDI) scooped up two awards for their 24 Hour Duo Lipstick ($9.95) which on one end provides long lasting colour for up to 24 hours and the other a highly conditioning balm to leave lips looking glossy.
In addition to this, Pantene’s new 3 Minute Miracle Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner ($5.99) picked up an award for its seriously hydrating qualities.
Product of the Year is the world’s largest consumer-voted award. In Australia, over 13,000 consumers cast their vote on hundreds of products from approximately 50 categories each year.
Some of the other beauty winners include the organic Goat Soap Range and Nexcare Foot Protection Tape.
Here are some of the findings:
- Nearly half of shoppers think it is harder to find their favourite brands on shelf compared with a year ago.
- Over 50% of shoppers claim to have bought home brands regularly, and are more likely to be female in the 25-44 year age groups. Home brand accounts for over half of purchases for almost one in five shoppers.
- Good value for money is the most important factor for grocery shopping and for purchasing home brands. Low cost is also a reason for buying home brands, but it is not as important as good quality when it comes to grocery shopping in general.
