Isabel Aagaard, 30, is a Co-founder and Designer at LastObject. Isabel graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Architecture, Design, and Conservation in 2016.

Her mission is to create durable and well-designed products that are reusable. When she and her team discovered the harmful effects of single-use cotton swabs on the environment, they started working on a solution to fix it. In April 2019, they launched LastSwab, the first sanitary, reusable alternative to cotton swabs.

LastSwab was followed by LastTissue, which aims to bring the handkerchief back and stop the waste caused by single-use tissues; LastRound, a set of six reusable, washable make-up pads; LastMask x Spray, a reusable mask and sanitizer kit; and most recently LastTissue Box, a tabletop version of LastTissue. One by one, Isabel is tackling the single-use items that have become an unfortunate part of our daily routine.

Isabel, who lives in Copenhagen, Denmark with her husband and their baby boy, created these fabulous products below which she recommends for gift ideas for your dad or the man in your life:

LastObject — whether he’s going on a business trip or a quick supermarket run, Dad won’t want to leave the house without these sustainable essentials.

LastTissue is the modern take on the handkerchief. Each pack contains six reusable tissues made from 100% organic cotton, fitted into a 100% silicone carrying case. Each pack saves the planet from more than 3,100 single-use tissues as well as their plastic packaging.

LastMask x Spray is a reusable kit to help people stay protected on the go without sacrificing our environment. It includes a face mask and a refillable sanitizer spray in a compact silicon carry case — all of which can be washed and repacked. The mask meets the WHO guidelines for fabric masks and can be machine washed 500 times.
