The year’s largest and brightest supermoon is set to light up the sky, but it could also stir emotions and test relationships. Known as the Beaver Moon, this full moon falls in Taurus, and anyone trying to go with the flow should be careful not to get caught between a rock and a hard place.

Taurus is ruled by Venus, the planet in love with love. It is a fixed earth sign, which means it values consistency, comfort and the physical pleasures of life.

During this supermoon overnight Wednesday, people may be drawn to deepen their relationships, make commitments or take projects to the next level, but it is important not to get caught in the middle of other people’s expectations or conflicts.

Because it is a supermoon, the Beaver Moon appears closer to Earth than usual, making it look bigger and brighter in the sky.

The closer proximity may make the lunar influence feel more immediate. Consequently, emotions or desires may intensity and surface more clearly.

People may feel more sensitive, more passionate, and more aware of what they truly want. It is a perfect time to focus on self-care, whether that is a massage, facial, or simply taking time to ground yourself.

Full moons are about release and manifestation, and because this is a supermoon, these energies will be more noticeable.

Even though this is a time for intimacy, privacy matters. Make sure your home or personal space feels safe and comfortable, otherwise emotions can boil over.

Taurus energy rewards patience, practicality and focused action rather than impulsive decisions.

The Beaver Moon is the middle supermoon of 2025, sandwiched between the first and last supermoons of the year.

It’s the “ham in the sandwich”, a peak moment when the energy of the surrounding moons comes together. It is a highly intense period astrologically.

The sequence of supermoons creates a sense of emotional continuity. It’s as if one moon hands its lessons to the next. It’s a time to integrate what’s being illuminated, reflect on our relationships and move forward with intention. The key is to stay grounded in your own truth, not in other people’s turbulence.

Fixed signs Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius are among the more sensitised signs likely to feel the supermoon’s energy most strongly. Earth signs Virgo and Capricorn will also feel the grounding effects, giving them a boost to make practical progress in their lives.

Early November brings other cosmic influences too.

Mars enters Sagittarius on the 5th of this month, adding adventurous, fiery energy. It encourages boldness but can also make people impatient.

Venus moves into Scorpio, bringing deep emotional intensity, heightened desire and revelations in relationships.

Mercury goes retrograde from November 9th to 29th, so it is important to double-check communications, travel plans and contracts before making big moves.

This combination of Taurus, Venus and Scorpio energy creates a unique moment where desires can become physical, relationships can deepen, and intentions can be turned into real-world outcomes.

It is a time to act with purpose while also going with the flow of what the universe is showing you.

The name Beaver Moon comes from North America, where November was traditionally when beavers prepared for winter by building lodges and hunters set traps for furs.

The moon will reach its peak at 11.19pm AEST on Wednesday, 5th November and 12.19am AEDT Thursday, 6th November.
