Persian Love Cake Made Easy: The Clever Kit That Brings Middle Eastern Charm to Your Kitchen

There’s something irresistibly romantic about Persian Love Cake. The name alone conjures images of spice markets, rose gardens, and stories whispered over tea.

Traditionally made with almond meal, cardamom, rosewater, and a touch of saffron, it’s a dessert that tastes as poetic as it sounds. But if you’ve ever looked up a recipe for it, you’ve probably noticed a long list of specialty ingredients that aren’t always easy to source.

That’s why we were delighted to discover a clever shortcut that lets you enjoy all the flavour and flair of this Middle Eastern classic, minus the hassle.

A Shorter Path to a Showstopper. Australian brand Exotic Bazaar has created a Persian Love Cake Kit that simplifies the entire process.

It’s a one-box mix made with pre-measured, high-quality ingredients, including almond meal and fragrant spices. No fillers. No preservatives. No artificial flavours.

All you need to add are two eggs and some melted butter, and you’ve got yourself an elegant, aromatic cake in under an hour.

It’s naturally gluten-free, so it suits a wider table of guests without compromising on flavour or texture.

What’s in the box?

The kit includes:
● A pre-measured flourless cake mix (flourless)
● Icing mixture
● Rosewater
● Crushed pistachios
● Almonds
● Edible rose petals

What you need to add:
● 2 large (50g) eggs
● ¾ cup melted butter or vegetable oil
● ½ cup natural or Greek yoghurt

That’s it.

How to Make It

Step 1: Mix
● Preheat your oven to 170°C (or 160°C fan-forced).
● Grease and line a 20cm round cake tin.
● In a bowl, beat the eggs together. Add the melted butter or oil, followed by the yoghurt, and gently mix.
● Fold in the cake mix from the pack until you have a thick, even batter. Pour into your prepared tin.

Step 2: Bake
● Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
● Let the cake cool completely before decorating.

Step 3: Decorate
● Place the icing mixture in a small bowl and slowly add the rosewater, mixing until smooth.

Tip: If you prefer a milder rose flavour, you can use half the rosewater and replace the rest with lemon juice for a refreshing twist.
● Spread the icing over the cooled cake and finish with the included pistachio, almond, and rose petal garnish.

The Verdict

The result is a soft, moist cake with the unmistakable aroma of rose, cardamom and almonds.

The kind of dessert that makes an ordinary afternoon feel like a special occasion.

Whether you’re baking for a dinner party, gifting something unique, or just treating yourself, this kit makes it easy to create something beautiful without stress.

It’s elegant, effortless and unmistakably special.

A Giftable Gem

Exotic Bazaar was founded by Iranian-Australian food lover Gilava, who wanted to make Middle Eastern flavours more accessible for Australian home cooks.

The brand’s products are all blended in Melbourne in small batches, and each one tells a bit of a story.

The Love Cake Kit arrives in beautifully designed packaging that hints at travel and tradition.

It’s a perfect gift for yourself or someone else who loves to explore different cultures through food.

Where to Find It

The kit is available online through Exotic Bazaar’s website and is set to hit the shelves at selected Coles from mid-Feb 26 for a limited collaboration between Exotic Bazaar and Coles to celebrate the feasting spirit of Ramadan.

There are two more varieties of baking kits you can try at Exotic Bazaar.

With just two extra ingredients and a bowl, this might be the easiest way to add a little Middle Eastern magic to your next celebration.

Or just a quiet Sunday afternoon.

Because sometimes, the best kind of love story is the one you can bake in 40 minutes.
