What’s the latest trend?

This Spring Summer season has proved that it’s all about bright, healthy-looking skin.

“The look here at Dion Lee is basically beautiful, gorgeous skin,” says Garland. “I am working with this new M.A.C. foundation, called Match Master. It goes on like a tinted moisturiser, and it gives you this real skin effect. I love it because it doesn’t look like you have got any product on the skin. You could use a sponge or brushes to apply it, and then add a bit of highlighter and strobing where needed. There’s also a defined brow. It’s meant to look fresh and pure.”

The ‘no-makeup’ makeup look still reigns supreme, as Val explains.

“In Spring and Summer, you don’t want to see too much product on the skin in a lovely natural light sunny situation,” continues Garland. “You want to look finished but you want your products to look invisible. You want it to look like ‘I am beautiful from within, I have nothing on my skin’. Which is why these fine textures are fantastic.”

The key products…

Here are the must-have buys from M.A.C. this season.

“We have this new brow pencil from M.A.C. appropriately called ‘The Big Brow Pencil’ – it’s a thick, chubby pencil that you can use to shadow in under the brow, and it’s really easy to blend. so you can get that shadow behind the brow and it is really easy to blend.”

“There’s also the Match Master Foundation, which is sort of like a cushion foundation. It really melts into the skin, and there are four colourways in the range. Your skin colour changes through the year, and this works perfectly for everyone.”

“We’ve also got new Strobe Creams out in new shades. We’ve used gold, which will give you that nice highlight and definition. We’ve also used peach which brings a nice light to lighter skintones. The formula looks almost metallic, but it just melts in to give you this polished look.”
