Suzanne Mostyn, an established media voice, said: “I’m all about chewing the fat. I think it’s how we make sense of our challenges, the world and our place in it. Adam and I have always had lively and robust discussions about all things mundane and monumental off- camera, so now it’s great to have the opportunity to sit down together with TheCarousel.com audience.”

Shot at the Canberra QT Hotel and airing regularly on thecarousel.com Cut To The Chase launches off the back of the success of TheCarousel.com’s Moral Maze segment chaired by Psychologist Jo Lamble, which focuses on women’s issues.

Here in the first of the series, Adam and Suzanne cover the controversial topic of university fees currently causing national debate.

Will the proposal to allow universities to regulate their own fees benefit the tertiary education sector, or simply disadvantage the students themselves, in particular those from lower income areas? While the decision is pending in Senate, our Cut To The Chase commentators discuss the cost to the students, but also to Australia as a country.

Tell us your thoughts on this thorny issue. Will it affect you or your child from considering a university education?

And stay tuned for more Cut To The Chase segments with a range of upcoming topics from ‘conversations all parents should have with their sons’ to ‘discrimination in the supermarket’.

If you have any issues you’d like us to cover let us know in the comments below or email us at editor@thecarousel.com. We want to hear and get to grips with issues that matter to you.
