Marjorie and Angelo’s story is one of creativity, persistence, and a strong desire to solve a problem they themselves faced as parents: the struggle to find stylish, functional, and durable nursery and baby furniture. Together, they turned their vision into a thriving business – Kids Home Fashion – that not only provides practical solutions for families but is also reshaping the nursery furniture market with innovation and bold design.

“Our goal is to provide furniture that can grow with your child and meet the needs of parents throughout various stages of early childhood,” says Angelo. The adaptable designs ensure longevity, making them a practical investment for families.

Kids Home Fashion furniture incorporates educational elements, such as alphanumeric characters integrated into the design of each cot. This not only promotes early learning but also gives the furniture an engaging, playful edge.

The collection is also eco-friendly, made with materials that are both safe for children and environmentally responsible, ensuring that families can feel good about their purchases.

A vision born from parenthood

As a mother of three beautiful children, Marjorie understands firsthand the challenges of parenting, especially when it comes to setting up a nursery. Early on, she faced the difficulty of finding furniture that met her needs for both function and aesthetic appeal. Frustrated with the lack of choices, she turned to Angelo, a skilled cabinet maker, to create custom pieces that would not only serve their purpose but also bring a splash of personality and be the “centerpiece” of your nursery room.

“I wanted something colorful, durable, and easy to move,” Marjorie recalls. “But back then, there was nothing to be found.’ This formed the concept to launch Kids Home Fashion.

The all-in-one concept: A game changer

Marjorie’s breakthrough idea came when she envisioned a nursery unit that combined area for a bath, dresser and shelves. “Why don’t we just put everything in one unit?” she asked Angelo. “This way, parents don’t have to walk around the room to get everything.”

The all-in-one design wasn’t just about convenience; it was about creating something beautiful, too. Marjorie was determined to bring vibrant colors and playful designs into the nursery, something she felt was missing from traditional furniture designs. “I wanted to bring a splash of color to nursery furniture,” she says, reflecting on the vision she had for a lively and joyful environment for children.

A labour of love: Made for parents, by parents

The beauty of Marjorie and Angelo’s business lies in the personal touch. Every item is handcrafted by Angelo

Customisation is a key aspect of their brand, whether it’s choosing a color or even printing custom images on the furniture. This personal connection between the creators and the customers is what sets their products apart.

The furniture features a robust design, with each unit weighing up to 70 kilograms. Yet, the pieces are easy to transport, making them perfect for families who move frequently

Marjorie’s extensive experience as a retail manager also provided her with the expertise to manage a business. However, she soon realised that the traditional retail approach wasn’t the best fit for her vision.

Though Marjorie wasn’t initially familiar with digital platforms, she and Angelo adapted quickly, navigating the challenges of establishing an online presence, from building a website to mastering social media.

Easy mobility and safety

Kids Home Fashions’ designers have also made life easier for parents by incorporating easy mobility into the furniture. They added robust castors, allowing families to move pieces effortlessly from one room to another, making it practical for rearranging spaces or transferring furniture between rooms.

They always prioritise safety in their designs. They incorporate features like soft-close drawers, lockable brakes, and non-protruding handles to ensure the furniture is both safe and stylish.

Looking to the future

As their business grows, Marjorie and Angelo remain committed to expanding their reach while maintaining the same high level of quality and customisation their customers expect. Their ambition to enter the European market shows they are not stopping any time soon.

Whether they choose to sell or expand further, Marjorie is proud of the legacy they’ve built.  “As I travel through my journey and into the future, I look forward to looking back and saying, “We did it,” she reflects , with a smile.

Their furniture is more than just products; it’s a testament to their journey as parents, entrepreneurs, and innovators.
