Mr. Taylor Swift Checks Into The Plaza

Travis Kelce (aka Mr Taylor Swift) has had quite a year of title changes. Tight end, Super Bowl champion, occasional podcast host, and now, as of this month, guest in residence at one of New York’s most photographed addresses. Tommy Hilfiger has installed him at The Plaza Hotel for its Fall 2026 campaign, in a lineup so stacked it reads less like a casting call and more like the guest list for a party nobody quite believes is real.

Joining him: Gigi Hadid, JISOO, Peggy Gou, Frances Tiafoe and Carmelo Anthony, with Tommy and Dee Hilfiger playing gracious hosts throughout. It is, in other words, a lot of famous people in one hotel, all wearing a great deal of cable knit.

The choice of venue is not incidental. Tommy Hilfiger lived at The Plaza for more than a decade, back when the address was already several lifetimes deep into hosting the greats: Sinatra, Monroe, The Beatles, the Stones, presumably a fair number of people who wandered in looking for the Palm Court and left with a story. “Returning to The Plaza feels like a homecoming,” Hilfiger said of the campaign, calling it a way of “celebrating everything I love about the city – its optimism, charisma and endless sense of possibility.”

Kelce, for his part, sounds like a man who has fully accepted his new station as an honorary New Yorker. “There’s a magic to this city, and I love that you never know who or what’s around the corner,” he said of the shoot – a fairly on-brand sentiment from someone whose own “who’s around the corner” era has included a pop star, several stadiums’ worth of confetti, and now, apparently, a suite at The Plaza.

The concrete jungle framing does a lot of work here, and the cast leans into it happily. Gigi Hadid returns as the brand’s reigning Tommy Girl, while JISOO puts her own spin on the label’s modern prep. Peggy Gou, Frances Tiafoe and Carmelo Anthony round out the cast with the kind of cross-industry star power that makes a lookbook feel more like a group chat you’d very much like to be added to.

On the clothes themselves, the season’s answer to New York’s changing weather leans heavily on texture: cable knit sweaters, quarter-zips, an updated take on the prep rugby, and outerwear doing serious heavy lifting, from mixed-media jackets to wool pea coats and the varsity jacket that has, at this point, become as synonymous with the brand as the flag itself. Signature red, white and blue turns up throughout, present but never shouting.

Following a Spring 2026 campaign set at Hilfiger’s Palm Beach home, “Only in New York” continues the brand’s tour through its own history, this time swapping palm trees for a hotel that has spent a century collecting exactly this kind of story. Time will tell whether Kelce joins Sinatra and the Beatles in The Plaza’s history books. But, for now, he’s got the suite, the sweater, and, if his girlfriend’s stadium tour is any indication, an audience that already knows how to show up.

The Fall 2026 collection is available now at tommy.com, in Tommy Hilfiger stores worldwide, and through select wholesale partners.
