Halloween in the Northern Hemisphere may be all about caramel apples and pumpkin spice everything. But, for those celebrating in southern parts of the world, cool treats that beat the heat are the really getting our heart racing!

Whether your a (Ice) Scream Queen or simply have a stash of leftover Halloween candy haunting your pantry, these boo-tifully delicious Reese’s Ice Cream Sandwiches with Peanut Butter Candy Crumbles are the perfect reward after a night of trick-or-treating. Or, devouring during your next horror movie marathon.

And speaking of scares – Reese’s is bringing the thrills off-screen this 23-26 October with an exclusive ‘Scream For Reese’s’ Escape Room at Strike in Sydney and Melbourne. In celebration of Scream 7, this limited-time experience combines Ghostface-worthy suspense with chocolatey surprises, where every clue could be a trick or a treat!

INGREDIENTS

6 Reese’s Snack Size Peanut Butter Cups or ¾ cup Reese’s Pieces Candy (or a combo of both to make ¾ cup total)

2 teaspoons granulated sugar (optional – helps prevent clumping)

12 store-bought ice cream sandwiches

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Chop the candy.
Unwrap the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and chop them into small pieces. If using Reese’s Pieces, roughly crush or chop them too. Toss the candy with 2 teaspoons of sugar if desired, to stop it from sticking. Place in a shallow bowl and set aside.
  2. Prepare the sandwiches.
Unwrap the ice cream sandwiches and let them soften slightly at room temperature.
  3. Coat in candy.
Press the ice cream edges of each sandwich into the chopped Reese’s candy, rolling gently to cover all sides.
  4. Freeze or serve.
Enjoy immediately for a softer texture. Or, rewrap and freeze for at least 30 minutes for a firmer, grab-and-go treat.

Tip:
Mix in any leftover Halloween treats like crushed cookies or mini chocolates for a fun, spooky twist – the ultimate trick-or-treat remix!
