Melbourne Cup winning jockey Michelle Payne secured the inaugural Sport award. Other winners include Marta Dusseldorp (Entertainment), Linda Jackson (Fashion), Margaret Fulton (Lifestyle) and joint winners Robyn Nevin and Bruna Papandrea (Arts & Culture).

“The InStyle and Audi Women of Style Awards are the country’s premier awards recognising inspirational women who display innovation and passion,” adds editor Emily Taylor says.

“Many of these women are also incredibly philanthropic, giving up their time to help others.”

Dr Emma Fulu, 37, received the $10,000 InStyle and Audi Style Scholarship. Dr Fulu is the director of The Equality Institute, which aims to advance equality and prevent violence against women.

The group conducts research and creates policies and programs in collaboration with organisations such as the United Nations and the World Health Organisation.

Guests at the ceremony included: Lara Worthington, Dannii Minogue, Michelle Bridges, Collette Dinnigan, Layne Beachley, Kirk Pengilly, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Claudia Karvan, Barry Otto, Margaret Fulton, Geraldine Hakewill, Anna Bamford, Juanita Phillips and Pip Marlow.
