What’s the best way to get a safe and beautiful ‘all-over glow’ throughout the year? The answer of course lies in the perfect spray-tan.

Introduced by Beauty Editor Glenn Nutley, Aussie singer and actress Amy Edwards (remember her from Channel 7′ All Saints and the US stage performance of The Lion King) gets a top-to-toe bronzing treatment, then poses pool side to show off the stunning results.

Check out the ‘how-to’ video here.

So today we are here with Katrina Brown who is the founder of the Bronzing Boutique in Sydney, Australia and what is based here in Hollywood, tanning Hollywoods A-lists. Today we are going to be tanning Australian Singer and Actress, Amy Edwards. Do you use a different tan depending on what event your clients are going to or what outfit they might be wearing?
Katrina: Its important to choose the right shade of bronze depending on whether its for press or red carpet or even a party tan. Different lights will effect the shade of bronze and will give it a different type of look.
Glenn: As a make up artist for a more natural look, I tend to prefer to use a face tanner specifically designed for the face and just air brush from the neck down. Its a lot easier to match foundations to these colours and they also don’t block the pours, giving it a more natural finish.
Katrina: So Amy, I would like to do a quick consolation and find out what shade of bronze you would like to be?
Amy: I would like to be sunkissed and naturally bronzed and not orange.
Katrina: Okay thats perfect, the reason why we custom plan the colours specially to your skin type so its natural so you never go orange.
Amy: Great
Katrina: So now, I’m going to apply some barrier cream to the dry areas of your skin. so across the wrist, where it just meets the palm of the hand. And the next area is the elbow, if you could lift your arm and this is also so you don’t get elbow creases. Ill just do the back of your ankles. Now I have your tan mixed up, I have included a drop of shimmer to have your skin glowing all day and I have also included a few drops of Channel perfume to keep fragrence smelling beautiful and its perfect if your going to wear the tan out to dinner or to socialise because you smell beautiful and you have beautiful glowing skin.
The two products I recommend to tan the face are Christian Dior cream gel its more suited to the olive completion but its very natural and the other one I like it the Kate Summerbill Tanning wipes. They are so natural and so clean and it matches the body perfectly. After I have applied the tanning wipe. I recommend letting it air off for about 5 minutes. To make sure the tan is perfectly even put moisturiser over the top on the key areas you may have missed. So I would like you to leave this tan on for 6 hours. I have acutally costume blended a rapid tan with a long lasting tan and it will be the perfect shade of bronze in 6 hours.
