Our obsession with The Oscars still hasn’t subsided here at Carousel HQ, and we’re dying to share with you our favourite hair looks straight from the red carpet, as told to us by the celeb hairstylists themselves.

Step 1 – Part wet hair into a deep side part, and apply Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse from roots to ends.

Step 2 – Dry hair completely, then take small sections and curl them with a half-inch barrel curling iron. Set the hair with Moroccanoil’s Luminous Hairspray Strong.

Step 3 – Once the hair has cooled, brush the hair smooth with a bristle brush (Morocconoil has a Boar Bristle one) and create height at the crown by backcombing the area.

Step 4 – Pull the hair tight to one side and secure in a ponytail. Take a tiny section of hair from under the ponytail and wrap it around the hair elastic to hide it. Let the other side of the hair cascade down into a 1920’s wave.

Step 5 – Finish the look by smoothing the hair with Moroccanoil’s Hydrating Styling Cream and lock in the style once again with Moroccanoil’s Luminous Hairspray Strong.

Step 1 – Starting with wet hair, create a deep side part and dry with ghd’s air professional hairdryer in the direction of the style.

Step 2 – Once dry, use a ghd eclipse styler to smooth and direct the style.

Step 3 – Once smoothed, pull all the hair into a low side pony over the ear on the opposite side to the parting, and roll into a chignon, pinning as you roll until all the hair is secure.

Step 1 – Start by adding a few drops of Dove Youthful Vitality Silk Creme (coming soon to Australia) to damn hair, and blow dry with a Mason Pearson brush.

Step 2 – For texture and grip, liberally spray Dove Refresh+Care Dry Shampoo throughout hair, then gather it just above the occipital bone, securing with a tight elastic.

Step 3 – Dress up the ponytail by pulling a small amount of hair from underneath, and wrap it around the base to hide the elastic. Secure the ends with bobby pins.

Step 4 – Add some more texture with Sally Hershberger’s Glam Waves Spray through the ponytail.

Step 5 – Finish with a spritz of Dove Style+Care Extra Hold Hairspray to add shine and keep hair in place.
