Oud Zarian, the newest fragrance from The House of Creed, is a study in patience and precision. At its heart is an 80-year-aged oud, sourced from the Sylhet forests of South Asia. This deep, resinous richness forms the foundation of this extraordinary scent. And, the perfumers craft every note – from sparkling bergamot to warm rose and spiced heart – to showcase the oud’s velvety complexity. As a result, Creed have created a fragrance that feels bold, elegant, and unforgettable.

Eight decades in the making

The oud itself is almost mythical in its rarity. Cultivators reserve it exclusively for Creed, a testament to the house’s centuries-long dedication to craftsmanship, ethical sourcing, and olfactive excellence. Aged for eight decades, it emerges transformed — deep, aromatic, and layered with subtle nuances that only time could produce.

A composition of contrasts

Oud Zarian opens with a bright, invigorating burst of bergamot, the sacred smoke of frankincense, and a flash of ginger that sparks the senses. At its heart, rose centifolia blooms, softened and enriched by a warm spice accord. Then, the oud gradually unfurls, anchored by patchouli, creamy sandalwood, and myrrh. Hints of tonka bean and liquorice root lend sweetness and depth, rounding the fragrance into a woody, ambery, and spicy masterpiece. Each layer evolves on the skin, revealing new facets as the day wears on. And, making it a fragrance to savour rather than rush.

Crafted for connoisseurs

From the ethically sourced raw materials to the meticulous handcrafting in Creed’s Fontainebleau atelier, every detail of Oud Zarian reflects an unparalleled level of skill and refinement. This is a scent for collectors, for lovers of luxury, for anyone who appreciates that elegance is built on patience and precision.

An object of beauty

Presentation is as considered as the fragrance itself. Creed encases Oud Zarian in its iconic flacon, adorns it with gold detailing that hints at the richness within, and crowns it with 80-year-aged oud – the centrepiece of this remarkable perfume. It is a statement piece for the vanity, as rare and precious as the ingredients it houses.

Availability

Oud Zarian is available from 14 August at Creed boutiques, creedperfume.com.au, and select luxury retailers. Priced at $699 for 50ml and $899 for 100ml, it is a fragrance that combines rarity, artistry, and timeless elegance.
