Because we all need to freshen up throughout the day. Read on for my top picks.

Best For Lips

A clear gloss should be in everyone’s beauty bag – it’s universally flattering for all occasions, and can mask dry lips in an instant. This one from Paula’s Choice contains nourishing coconut oil to soothe and SPF40 to protect you from sun damage. Paula’s Choice Resist Anti-Aging Gloss SPF40, $28

Best For Eyes

I always have a hard time with eye drops, my aim is either so off that they drop onto my cheeks, or it smudges my mascara… not happy! This new product from Murine is a spray solution that you can apply with your eyes closed – literally. It soothes red and dry eyes and can be sprayed over makeup. Murine Eye Mist, $16.95

Best For Face

This stick foundation works as a base and concealer; swipe directly onto your face and blend with fingers or a brush for a flawless finish, or dab onto your finger and pat over reddened areas to treat specific spots. Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix Makeup, $29.95

Don’t be scared away by the white powder – it’s so finely milled that it disappears into skin on contact and mattifies shiny areas like your t-zone without caking over liquid foundation. Apply with a powder brush or a soft sponge for the best effect. M.A.C. Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder Pressed, $42

If your skin is looking a bit drab halfway through your working day (fluorescent office lights will do that to you!), then a spritz of this will do you good. The Pitera-infused formula will replenish moisture levels in skin, plumping the surface and giving you that all-over glow. SK-II Mid-Day Miracle Essence, $75

Best For Hair

Does your hair start looking lacklustre and limp by lunchtime? Batiste’s new product is a dry shampoo infused with argan oil that peps up dull locks immediately. To use, hold it about 30cm from your head, and spray it over roots and through the ends. Batiste Dry Shampoo in Strength & Shine, $12.95
