Sweet Tooth, Meet Skin Care: 3 Beauty Food Collabs We’re Craving Right Now

Giving new meaning to the concept of gourmand beauty, the confectionery aisle and the skin care shelves at your local supermarket have started swapping ingredients. And the results are as deliciously decadent as yoy might imagine.

Yep. This season’s biggest crossover moment isn’t another collab between a high-end shoe bag brand and the high street – it’s happening at Woolworths and Coles, where confectionery companies are lending their most iconic flavours, scents and packaging to skin care and makeup.

Food-flavoured (or inspired) beauty is rising for a few reliable reasons: nostalgia (lolly bags, after-school chocolate blocks), sensory indulgence (a lip balm that smells like dessert turns a routine step into a treat), and built-in shareability – a chocolate-scented eyeshadow palette practically begs for an unboxing video. It also solves a real positioning problem for grocery-aisle beauty: as more makeup brands compete for space alongside your groceries, borrowing equity from a snack-aisle icon gets you noticed between the shampoo and the self-checkout!

Here are three beauty x food collabs worth adding to the trolley.

1. Cadbury Dairy Milk x MCoBeauty: The Ultimate Snack Swap

If you’ve ever wished your eyeshadow palette smelled like a chocolate block, congratulations – your fantasy has been manifested. Cadbury Dairy Milk and MCoBeauty have pulled off one of the year’s most unexpected team-ups: Cadbury created a Watermelon Chocolate Block inspired by MCoBeauty’s cult Watermelon Glow range, while MCoBeauty went full confectionery mode with a Cadbury-themed beauty edit. There’s a six-shade eyeshadow palette in tones like Melted Toffee and Dark Cocoa, a glossy Lip Peptide Treatment that reads more “after-dinner treat” than “skincare step,” and a curated ICONS set for anyone who wants their whole makeup bag to smell faintly of a chocolate factory.

MCoBeauty’s Lucy Robinson said the collaboration lets the two brands tap into each other’s worlds and spark a wider cultural conversation — which, in practice, means a chocolate-scented lip balm now exists and it’s already selling. Cadbury makes the chocolate side of the equation at its Claremont factory in Tasmania, so there’s at least some local pride buried under the sugar.

The sweet details: The MCoBeauty x Cadbury collab is available exclusively at Woolworths nationally from 5 August. Watermelon Chocolate Block, $8; Eyeshadow Palette, $25; Lip Peptide Treatment, $18; Icons Collection, $29.

2. Vaseline x Funday: Body Care That Smells Like Dessert

Moisturising is getting a glow-up. Vaseline has teamed up with Funday for a limited-edition body lotion range that trades clinical-feeling skincare for scents that read more like a bakery menu than a bathroom cabinet. The three-piece lineup includes Strawberry & Cream Delight and Refreshing Peach, both lightweight, niacinamide-infused formulas, plus a richer Caramel Indulgence built with lipids and 48-hour moisturisation for anyone who wants the hydration to actually hold up. It’s a low-effort way to make a routine step feel less like a chore – bright packaging, dessert-shop fragrances and all.

The sweet details: Each Funday x Vaseline 300ml lotion is $10, available at Woolworths and rolling out to Coles from 31 August.

3. Lanolips x Allen’s: Lolly Bag Nostalgia for Your Lips

Lanolips – the brand behind the cult 101 Ointment formula – has joined forces with Allen’s for a four-piece lip balm collection built around the iconic lolly bag. There’s Strawberries and Cream, Pineapple and Peaches and Cream, but the standout is the Tinted Red Frog: a first-of-its-kind sheer, glossy tint that smells uncannily like the lolly itself while giving lips a natural, weightless flush. Every balm runs on Lanolips’ deeply hydrating 101 formula, so this is nostalgia backed by actual skincare credentials rather than a novelty scent grab.

The sweet details: Exclusive to Mecca and lanolips.com.au, $15 each, from 25 August.
