Habari Productions was created by Stephanie Hunt and Benjamin Hogarth—two journalists/producers who took off 2012 to learn more about the world. They explored West Africa, Ethiopia, Sudan, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania and lived with some of the most isolated and endangered tribes on the planet.
Stephanie Hunt is a Sydney-based journalist with 13 years of experience. She has worked on stories from the inauguration of Barack Obama to the Royal Wedding and Winter Olympics. Internationally she has worked for BBC World News, HARDtalk and Sky News London. Closer to home, she's been a reporter/producer with a range of Australia’s regional and national TV stations and is now Supervising Producer of Weekend Sunrise on the Seven Network.
Ben Hogarth has been in the media industry for more than one decade. He has been involved in everything from breaking news coverage, feature stories and live broadcasts. Ben is currently Sunrise Field Producer on the Seven Network and co-ordinates live crosses from around Australia and also around the globe—on a daily basis. Ben has produced live broadcasts from the peaks of Mt Kilimanjaro and Machu Picchu; a shark cage in South Australia and the vast Aussie Outback.
