Versace’s ability to wear confidence is incomparable. This is the brand that turned safety pins into legend when Liz Hurley stepped out in “that” dress at the 1994 premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral – an overnight star born from a handful of pins and pure nerve. Six years later, Jennifer Lopez’s plunging, jungle-print gown at the 2000 Grammys was searched for so relentlessly it’s credited with inspiring Google Image Search. Bold. Body-confident. Impossible to look away from. That’s not a highlight reel – that’s the house philosophy. Crystal Emerald is its latest scent for it.
The Inspiration
Where its predecessor played it crystalline and clear, Crystal Emerald goes saturated. The deep, luminous green of an emerald echoes the same shade that made Lopez’s Grammys gown unforgettable. It’s the Versace woman in a bottle: magnetic, unbothered, never designed to blend in. Built to be noticed. Built to be talked about.
What It Smells Like
It opens sharp and juicy – Calabrian bergamot against sweet peach, with pink peppercorn keeping things from turning saccharine.
The heart is a green rosebud mid-bloom, wrapped in velvety jasmine and a flash of raspberry sorbet – youthful, never one-note. It settles into white musk, Brazilian tonka bean and a whisper of incense: warm, lasting, sophisticated over sugary.
Perfumer Gaël Montero composed it within Versace’s signature floral-musk family.

The Bottle
The packaging doesn’t whisper. Cast in transparent, deep-emerald glass, the bottle’s geometric silhouette takes its cut from the gemstone itself, catching light from every angle. An oversized, faceted cap crowns it – less a lid, more a jewel for the vanity.
The Campaign
Lila Moss – yes, Kate’s daughter – fronts the campaign, shot by Mert Alas in imagery that channels Medusa herself: hair unrestrained, eyes glinting the same green as the bottle. It’s the visual language Versace has run on for decades. Motion, skin, sensuality, the same current that turned Hurley and Lopez into red carpet legends. In the film, directed by Simon Chaudoir, Moss moves through an emerald gown built to mirror the bottle, set to “Mirrors” by Nightbus.
