The latest beauty drops lean fully into a doing more with less mindset. Think: prioritising smarter textures, multitasking formulas and sensorial details that make routines feel less clinical and more enjoyable. There is also a noticeable shift toward products that work with the skin and hair rather than aggressively against them. Hydration appears in nearly every category, from scalp-friendly styling sprays to peptide-rich eye creams and cooling lip treatments designed to treat comfort as seriously as performance.

Oil Balancing Jelly Toner, $18.99, by Thayers at Chemist Warehouse

Oily skin often swings between two extremes – stripped dry or overloaded with hydration. This jelly toner (an icon around the globe that has just hit Aus) lands comfortably in the middle.

Designed for combination and oily skin types, the lightweight formula helps absorb excess oil while keeping skin hydrated throughout the day. It also works to visibly minimise pores within a week, leaving behind a soft matte finish that feels fresh rather than flat.

Cooling, refreshing and easy to layer, it gives skin that balanced post-facial feeling without the tightness.

Lunar Veil Chrono-Active Sleep Mask, $149, by Raeso at Sephora

Beauty sleep gets taken very literally here.

Designed as a night cream replacement, this overnight mask uses a phased delivery system that hydrates, resurfaces and supports recovery in timed stages throughout the night. Ceramides, Mānuka Honey and botanical lipids cushion the skin first, followed by Mandelic Acid and PHA for gentle renewal. The final phase focuses on recovery through NAD+ precursors and DNA repair enzymes.

By morning, skin looks noticeably smoother, brighter and convincingly well-rested.

Ceramide Milkshake Lip Balm, $14.95, by Lanolips at Mecca

Lanolips has built its reputation on thick, ultra-protective formulas, but this new launch takes a softer approach.

The Ceramide Milkshake Lip Balm combines 90% lanolin with ceramides and Murumuru Butter to cushion, strengthen and deeply hydrate lips while delivering a sheer wash of colour. The texture feels creamier and lighter than the brand’s original balms, with a juicy, almost milkshake-like finish.

Available in four dessert-coded flavours (Strawberry, Bubble Raspberry Crumble, Caramel and Melt Mocha Chocha), it delivers comfort with a slightly nostalgic twist.

Blur Hydrating Eye Cream, $55, by InSkin.Co

The under-eye category loves to overpromise. This formula keeps things more realistic – and more useful.

Positioned as an all-in-one eye treatment, it targets dehydration, puffiness, dark circles and fine lines while doubling as a smoothing base under makeup. Peptides, Eyeseryl and Hyaluronic Acid help support hydration and firmness, while KoboBlur creates an immediate soft-focus effect.

The finish is hydrated and subtly perfected, making concealer sit noticeably better on top.

Gaultier Divine, from $195 at David Jones

Some days you’re an LBD lady. Others see you slip into a sexy corset. JPG’s latest drop pairs perfectly with the latter.

The scent pairs bright raspberry with airy meringue and warm benzoin for a sensual, fruity amber scent that feels indulgent without becoming overly sweet. While the iconic bottle returns in lacquered pink with braided gold detailing that leans fully into couture territory.

It feels glamorous, theatrical and unapologetically feminine in the way only Gaultier really can.

Rich Cream, $80, by Mecca Cosmetica at Mecca

Winter is all about rugging up! Cozy cardies, fluffy blankets, and skin care that’s richer than an Amazon exec!

Developed in response to customer concerns around dehydration and barrier stress, this ceramide-rich moisturiser steps up – and focuses on replenishing essential lipids while locking in long-lasting hydration. Ectoin and Centella Asiatica help support resilience and soothe irritation-prone skin.

Dense but wearable, the balm-like texture melts into skin beautifully and sits surprisingly well beneath makeup.

Limited Edition Green Raspberry Allover Body Mist, $64, by Fenty Skin at Sephora

Rihanna clearly understands the assignment: Fragrance circa 2026 should have a personality crisis every now and then.

This Green Raspberry mist mixes raspberry nectar, blackberry and crème de cassis with white tea, sugared rose and amber for a scent that feels fruity, playful and slightly unexpected. The sleek seafoam packaging keeps things equally fun.

It is less “basic berry” and more luxury fruit cocktail worn straight onto the skin.

The Deep Biological Reset: De-Stress & Restore Bath Ritual, $109, by Ikou

When a quick spa session is not on the cards (kids/cash flow/ general life chaos) a little DIY can be the next best thing for self care.

This aromatherapy-focused bath ritual is an excellent start – combining mineral-rich salts with essential oils designed to calm the mind, regulate stress and encourage deeper sleep. The experience also leans heavily into sensory restoration through scent, warmth and texture.

The result transforms an ordinary bath into something slower, softer and significantly more restorative.

Dive-in Low Molecular Hyaluronic Acid Serum, $32, by Torriden at W Cosmetics

Some hydrating serums sit on top of the skin. This one disappears into it almost instantly. But did you really expect anything less from one of K-Beauty’s best-selling brands?

Powered by a 5D Hyaluronic Acid Complex, the lightweight serum uses multiple molecular weights to deliver hydration through different layers of the skin. Panthenol and Allantoin help calm irritation, while Malachite Extract gives the formula its signature pale blue hue.

The watery texture absorbs quickly without stickiness, making it particularly good under makeup or during humid weather.

Limited Edition Lit Stx Blushlighter, $41, by Smashbox at Mecca

Blush and highlighter have officially stopped competing for attention.

This limited-edition hybrid stick combines both into one creamy formula that melts seamlessly into skin for a dewy, lit-from-within finish. Available in four shades ranging from peachy pink to rich berry, it builds easily without disturbing base makeup underneath.

The result feels fresh, glossy and intentionally effortless.

Smashbox Highlighter

Pout Preserve Chillers Passport to Chill Mini Set, $50, by Ole Henriksen at Sephora

Lip products continue to enter their resort era.

This limited-edition mini set combines peptide-powered hydration with cooling textures and vacation-inspired scents, including guava, watermelon, coconut lime and the exclusive Bora Bora Berry. Kokum Butter, Mango Seed Butter and Cloudberry Oil help smooth and condition lips while delivering a fuller-looking finish over time.

The glossy finish feels plush and refreshing – like a tropical holiday condensed into a makeup bag.

Intense Hydration Hair Mask, $25, by Q&A

The “skinification” of hair care continues, and Q+A is leaning into it properly.

This deeply conditioning mask combines superfruit extracts and rich butters to hydrate dry lengths, smooth frizz and strengthen damaged hair without silicones or sulfates. It can be used either as a five-minute treatment or left in for extra softness.

Hair feels smoother, softer and significantly less stressed afterwards.

Radiance Reset Cleanser, $83.95, by Bespoke Skin Technology

Age-specific skincare increasingly feels outdated, and this cleanser reflects a more long-term approach to skin health.

Created by dermatologist Dr Katherine Armour, the non-foaming formula removes makeup, pollution and daily buildup while supporting barrier integrity through antioxidant-rich ingredients and gentle fruit extracts. It cleanses thoroughly without disrupting the skin.

The finish feels calm, nourished and comfortably balanced rather than squeaky clean.

Tousle Texture Dry Texture Spray, $49, by Aveda at Mecca

Texture sprays often promise effortless hair while secretly delivering crunch. This one avoids that trap.

Created alongside Aveda artists, the vegan formula uses zeolite minerals and cassava extract to add airy volume and soft, lived-in texture without stiffness or powdery residue. It also includes heat protection, making it particularly useful for reviving second-day hair or adding movement to polished blow-dries.

The result is tousled, touchable texture that still feels like actual hair.

Aveda

Caramel Swirl EDP, $195, by Clean Reserve at Sephora

Gourmand fragrance has become increasingly sophisticated, and this delicious scent proves why.

Caramelised coconut, Italian tangerine and mango nectar open into creamy white chocolate, whipped cream and warm sandalwood for a fragrance that feels sweet without becoming sugary. Like the rest of the Clean Reserve lineup, it also leans into consciously sourced ingredients and eco-minded packaging.

It smells expensive, comforting and slightly edible in the best possible way.
