Saying “I Do” to the wedding of your dreams just got a whole lot easier, thanks to Wedded Week – the world’s largest online luxury wedding showcase. Running from November 7-13, Wedded Week is a global celebration of style, elegance, and ease in wedding planning, featuring over 500 top-tier vendors. With exclusive offers, trendsetting ideas, and luxury options, it’s a one-stop hub for couples to connect with the very best from around the world. With the cost of luxury weddings soaring (up to $150,000 – and 10 times that amount in countries like India and Italy), Wedded Week is perfectly timed for couples seeking creative, budget-conscious options to bring their visions to life.

Wendy El-Khoury, the fabulous founder of Wedded Wonderland and mastermind behind Wedded Week, brings her vibrant personality and sharp eye for wedding trends to this year’s showcase. “It’s about reinventing how weddings are imagined and planned in the digital age,” Wendy says. Here are her top tips on the biggest trends for 2025 . Along with one that we’re ready to break up with!

Founder of Wedded Wonderland and Wedded Week, Wendy El-Khoury talks Wedding Trends for 2025

1. The colour of love

“Ditch the muted tones! We’re painting the town in bold hues and playful patterns. Think vibrant florals, unexpected colour clashes, and decor that screams ‘personality,’” Wendy enthuses.

This signals a shift from traditional pastels to palettes bursting with personality, with Wendy encouraging couples to go beyond the expected and integrate colour in ways that feel true to their unique styles.
From florals and table linens to bridesmaid dresses couples are stepping away from soft neutrals and instead embracing bright, unexpected combinations. Like rich jewel tones, bright citrus pops, and even moody, dark hues mixed with gold accents for a touch of glamour.

“It’s about making a statement and creating an atmosphere that’s lively and unforgettable,” Wendy adds. Whether it’s a coral and teal mix or a fusion of fuchsia and emerald, these color choices bring an energy that resonates throughout the entire celebration, making every detail pop with emotion and individuality.

2. Intimate affairs. Elevated

“Micro-weddings are still having their moment, but we’re ditching the “rustic” and embracing all-out luxury. Think bespoke details, decadent menus, and immersive entertainment that leaves your guests breathless,” Wendy explains. So, let’s leave the rustic mason jars in 2024 and instead embrace intimate gatherings that all about indulgent luxury and bespoke experiences. With smaller guest lists, couples are splurging on immersive entertainment, decadent tasting menus, and personalised touches that elevate the entire affair. Think: lush table settings, high-end cocktails, and decor that leaves guests feeling pampered and captivated.

3. Desserts that take the cake

When it comes to cake, Wendy’s message is loud and clear:” The traditional tiered cake? So last season! Instead, we’re indulging in decadent dessert displays, gravity-defying croquembouche towers, super-sized berry topped slabs, and even artfully arranged “dessert” cakes.” Delicious and decorative, this trend is perfect for those who want to have their cake … and eat it to!

4. Sustainable soirees

“Luxury with a conscience!” Wendy declares, urging couples to embrace sustainability without sacrificing elegance. Weddings in 2025 are about saying “I do” to the planet with eco-conscious choices, such as locally sourced flowers, reusable decor, and meaningful gifts. Couples will focus on ditching the waste and embracing purpose. From favours that support local artisans to biodegradable confetti and sustainable decor, these weddings don’t just look good – they feel good too.

5. Experiences over excess

Forget the generic. We’re curating unforgettable experiences for our guests,” Wendy proclaims. The trend of 2025 is to make weddings unforgettable with curated, interactive moments. “Think interactive food stations, live entertainment that pops, and weekend-long celebrations filled with laughter and love,” adds Wendy, who encourages the happy couple to create an event packed with personal touches that make the day a  unique, joyous, immersive celebration rather than a typical “one-and-done.”

6. Tradition is on trend

In 2025, couples are embracing traditions that hold real meaning, and small gestures that resonate personally. “ It’s not about dusting off the rulebook and following outdated norms,” says Wendy. “Instead, we’re seeing a beautiful resurgence of traditions that truly matter. Those that connect us to our heritage, our families, and the deeper meaning of the commitment we’re making,” These heartfelt touches add depth to the celebration, reminding everyone of the significance behind the day.

Officially out? Matchy-matchy mayhem

Cookie cutter celebrations are getting the cut in 2025. “Your wedding should be as unique as you are. So, embrace your personal style and create a celebration that’s truly unforgettable,” Wendy quips. Out: matching bridesmaid dresses, identical centerpieces and ostentatious overspending. Instead, expect the embrace of eclectic decor, mix-and-match attire reflecting each maid’s style and “ a focus on meaningful details and personalised touches that truly reflect your love story,” for a wedding that celebrates the beauty of diversity. “Ultimately, the most important thing is to create a wedding that reflects your love story and leaves you feeling absolutely fabulous,” says Wendy.
