The beauty industry is never short of a little sparkle and shine. But the spotlight was firmly on the fabulous females who drive it at the recent Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards – which rolled out the red carpet at The Star in Sydney on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

Known as the ‘Logies of small business,’ this annual event celebrated the best and brightest female-led enterprises across the country. Including our own Robyn Foyster – a finalist in the marketing category.

Hosted by Nine News and Today show journalist Jayne Azzopardi, the ceremony drew over 1,000 attendees, including esteemed guests like triple Olympic gold medallist Stephanie Rice, who helped crown more than 60 Champions, across a vast spectrum of industries.

Bobbie Charles Skin & Cosmetic Clinic, also based in Queensland, was celebrated for its outstanding achievements in the Cosmetic Specialist category. Their dedication to advanced skincare solutions and client care has set a high standard in the industry.

Adding to Queensland’s beauty sweep, Lust Minerals won the Beauty Product category. Renowned for their commitment to high-quality, eco-friendly products, Lust Minerals has become a favourite among consumers seeking natural beauty solutions. Their win is a testament to their innovation and dedication to sustainability.

The Ragan Skin product range further amplifies her influence, setting new benchmarks in both treatment efficacy and media engagement.

The 2024 Champion Makeup Artists title was awarded to Jasmine Chaar Makeup, based in Panania, NSW. Melbournian magic

In the Brow and Lashes category, Sol Brows & Lashes, located in Port Melbourne, received accolades for their expertise and innovation. Their commitment to providing exceptional brow and lash services has distinguished them as a leader in this niche sector.

The judging process for the awards was thorough, with criteria encompassing short and long-term growth strategies, profitability, eco-friendliness, innovation, marketing initiatives, customer service quality, and community support. This comprehensive evaluation ensures that winners are not only the best in their field but also embody the principles of sustainability and community engagement.

Steve Loe, Awards Founder and Managing Director of Precedent Productions, emphasised the significance of these awards. “Being selected as a Champion from a national pool of thousands is a testament to the tenacity and leadership demonstrated by each of these female-led businesses,” Loe said. “Their successes are powerful statements of what women can achieve and the excellence that defines Australian small businesswomen today.”
