Say goodbye to dry, flaky skin and hello to an all-over glow!

Luminous, healthy skin looks, and feels, great so a daily skincare regime is a must.  Choose carefully though, using the wrong moisturiser for your complexion could trigger problems.

Normal, dry, oily or combination – there are as many different ways to care for your skin as there are types of complexion, so using the best product for yours will fast-forward those ‘get-gorgeous’ results.

And when it comes to moisturisers Sharon Farrell knows what’s what (have you seen HER skin by the way?) and she’s not afraid to share.  Click play to hear her best advice – or just read on!

Sharon’s top tips on choosing the right moisturiser for your skin type

Using the wrong moisturiser for your skin type could be at the root of many common skin complaints. Here are three signs you need to change your moisturiser.

Blocked pores and shine could be a sign that you’re using a moisturiser that’s too rich for your skin. Combination and oily skin definitely benefits from added moisture, but it needs to be lightweight and oil free.

Neutrogena’s Oil-free Moisture for Combination Skin is a really light, non-greasy lotion that keeps dry areas hydrated while controlling shine in oily areas with its very clever oil-absorbing Microsponge technology.

It’s Hypoallergenic, oil, fragrance and alcohol free and it’s non-comedogenic (that means it won’t block your pores!).

Conversely if your skin is feeling a bit rough and textured, it might be that it’s not getting enough moisture.

If that’s the case, look for hydrating formulas that will nourish the skin
The Hydro Boost range from Neutrogena is designed to deliver intense moisture into the skin with a “progressive release system” – that means it works continuously throughout the day.

The Hydro Boost Gel is a great option for daytime with a lightweight texture that sits beautifully under makeup and SPF 15, while the Night Concentrate is a richer formula that really comforts the skin while you sleep.

And finally if you’re beginning to notice lines and pigmentation in your skin, it’s probably time to switch to a moisturiser that’s equipped to tackle those signs of ageing.

Neutrogena’s Anti-Wrinkle Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturiser is infused with Retinol SA which helps accelerate surface cell turnover pushing newer, younger cells to the surface.

This can really help to reduce the appearance of dark spots and pigmentation in the skin, as well as smoothing lines and wrinkles.

SPF 15 with Neutrogena’s own Helioplex technology provides UVA and UVB sun protection to help prevent any further pigmentation developing.  Includes Hyaluronic Acid, a powerful moisturising ingredient to help hydrate and replenish your skin.

So, now you just need to give your skincare wardrobe a spring clean!
