One of the best ways to remove any waterproof product such as eyeliners and mascaras is with these makeup remover towels. I use these Neutrogena ones all the time.
You can lightly go over the whole base with this. If you have done a strong lip colour you can lightly buff that off. You can take off the majority of the makeup with these towelettes.
Next, lightly rub a foaming facial cleanser in to get all of the excess makeup off. The majority of makeup will be off but now we really want to really cleanse the skin. If you are doing an intense makeup look you might need to completely remove the makeup from a previous look and start afresh so this is a good way to make sure it all comes off.
After you have fully cleansed your makeup off it is really important to moisturise and rehydrate the skin.
For daytime, I use a product that is quite light but if it was night-time and you were about to go to bed, which is when you would normally remove your makeup, you can use a heavier product or a bit of a night cream which will hydrate a little bit stronger.
So how does it feel now?

Remember, you don’t want to just get the makeup off the skin, you want to get it out of your pores and make it feel really clean and fresh, especially before bed.
