If you’re looking for a little family fun getaway, the Hunter Valley Gardens is the place to be. Known for their blooming gorgeous gardens by day, the Hunter Valley Gardens transforms into a spectacular light show by night, creating an enchanting display for young and old. The annual Christmas Lights Spectacular, which runs until January 26, 2016, has been a hit attraction for families year after year. And for the second year running, the Hunter Valley Gardens has added the Mega Creatures exhibition!

Mega Creatures Fun

Hidden beneath trees throughout the gardens the children will discover mega beetles and bugs, they can watch and listen to life-like (mechanical) dinosaurs including T-Rex, Stegosaurus and Pterodactyl on the garden plains, or, if they dare, have their photo taken with the most enormous, hairiest spider to walk the planet!Family Adventures! Where To Stay

Just a hop, step and jump (or two minute drive next door!), is Harrigan’s Irish Pub – providing the perfect family mix of relaxed bistro style meals and accommodation (even the kids will appreciate the grape vine views).

This family friendly and iconic pub is surrounded by beautiful gardens with a jumping castle, so kids can enjoy the fun after breakfast, lunch and dinner while mum and dad chill out alfresco dining! Kids receive activity packs with meals to keep them entertained, too. Pack your togs for a swim in the pool, and allow time to enjoy some wine, cheese and crackers on your porch while overlooking the beautiful vineyards just meters from your front door. Visit Harrigan’s Irish Pub for more info.
