Us Weekly says that neither party has filed for divorce paperwork – in fact all talk of formalising the bust-up has stopped altogether.
“Jen mentioned that the divorce was going through very soon, and then a few weeks ago, things changed,” says the magazine’s source close to Jennifer.
“It does not seem to be moving in that direction.”
The Justice League actor, 43, and actress, 44, are cohabiting in their US$17.5 million, five-bedroom mansion, albeit in separate bedrooms.
Jennifer revealed in the March issue of Vanity Fair that she sleeps with their oldest daughter, Violet; while Ben bunks in the guest room, according to a close source.
“Jen seems to still be in love with Ben but doesn’t allow her mind to go there,” says Jennifer’s friend.
“She just focuses on the kids.”
The source also says the man down the hall is also having trouble letting go.
“If it was up to Ben,” adds a second insider, “they would be together. He feels like he can’t live without Jen.”
After Ben’s affair with nanny Christine Ouzounian in 2015, the couple has stayed focused on co-parenting their children Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4.
In late May, 2016, while Ben filmed Justice League in Europe, Jennifer and their children him in Venice, Italy.
Weeks earlier, they toured Paris, with the exes slipping away for a meal at the Le Petit Marché bistro.
“They want their kids’ lives to go on as uninterrupted as possible,” says a source.
