Baked Fromager d’Affinois Excellence Cheese

Try Chyka Keebaugh’s recipe – ideal for entertaining friends. Chyka loves that this recipe has a very French feel, especially served with a gorgeous green salad and beautiful bread. Just use the warm Fromager d’Affinois triple cream cheese, bread, and salad, and you have a delicious meal!

Preparation: 5 min

Cooking: 10 min, plus allow 5 min to cool before serving

Serves: 6-8

INGREDIENTS:

• 2kg wheel Fromager d’Affinois Excellence triple cream cheese
• 1 lemon rind
• ¼ cup fresh thyme
• 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

METHOD:

1. Preheat oven to 200C
2. Line a small baking tray with baking paper and place cheese on top
3. Peel the zest off the lemon and place over the top of the cheese along with thyme and drizzle with olive oil.
4. Place the cheese in the oven and bake for 10 min.
5. Remove from the oven and allow to sit for 5 min.

TO SERVE:

Slide off baking paper and place on a serving board. Garnish with more fresh thyme and lemon wedges and serve with flatbreads and a fresh green salad.
