Like most mums, she says it’s a constant battle keeping daughter Apple, 11, and son Moses, 10, away from the junk food.

“Genuinely it’s a nightmare,’ she explains on her website Goop.

“All kids want is white sugar, white carbs, and processed foods … I try to have a pretty clean pantry at home, but if we pass a bag of Cheez-Its at the airport, or Apple sees Mexican Coke, it’s all over.”

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Children Rebel Against Mum’s Strict Diet2

Gwyneth fronted to her fans again on her website to plug the release of her new cookbook It’s All Easy.

She answered questions about everything from her relaxation habits to her favourite substitutions for nightshade vegetables.

One fan also wanted to know if she would “still rather smoke crack than eat cheese from a can”, referencing a famous quote from her 2011 interview with English television host Jonathan Ross.

Although this was her opportunity to back track on her once controversial statement, Gwyneth stuck to her guns and responded: ‘Hell yes.’

“You know, crack might be extreme, but spray cheese is not my kind of party,” she added.

But Gwyneth did admit though she does indulge in the occasional guilty pleasure, which she insists that no one should ever feel bad about.

“Guilt is a completely useless emotion that keeps us mired in the past and is a trick of the ego,” she explains.

“I try to eat on the healthier side, but I’ll tell you, when I have my pizza and wine, I enjoy it to the last crust.

“Delicious food should be eaten with enjoyment. Balance is always important, but let’s face it, nothing is better than a good pizza.”
