Dripping Wet Martini

The opposite of a 'Dry martini' this recipe is great for those who like a softer drink, or are new to Martinis.

A Dripping Wet Martini is the exact opposite of the Dry Martini, with the ingredients adjusted to create a softer sip. It’s perfect for those who can’t handle the stiffness of the dryer option.

Dripping Wet Martini – Which Vermouth To Use

A martini becomes a martini, traditionally because of the Vermouth. Without it, it’s simply a glass of gin with water. For this reason alone, you want to pick the best brands you can find in both vermouth and vodka or gin. For a Dripping Wet Martini, we suggest using Regal Rogue Daring Dry Vermouth.

Led by savoury and light salty notes creating an umami finish, it also marries a grassy organic Sauvignon Blanc from Orange in NSW with native Anise Myrtle, Quandong and Native Thyme and followed by white pepper, gentian, olive leaf and juniper. This gives an earthy, salty and very herbaceous character. In terms of vodka, we always say you can’t beat a good bottle of Grey Goose, while for Gin, Warners is a great choice, as the brand has a large variety of gin ‘flavours’ that marry well with most mixers and spirits.
