Did You Know Koalas Could Be Extinct In NSW By 2050? Here’s what some beauty companies such as The Body Shop is doing about it.
As many of us know, the 2019/2020 bushfires caused devastation for Australian wildlife, and people. Around 2 million hectares of forest and bushland were burnt in the fires, leaving many animals with no water, food or shelter. Many of Australia’s already threatened species were pushed to the brink of extinction with an an estimated 1.25 billion animals perishing.

But there are easy ways that you can help make a difference. We have always loved the Body Shop for there cruelty free, fragrant and fruity products, which comes in all shapes, colours and sizes. But now they are going that one step further and have started a partnership with Australian Wildlife and Nature Recovery Fund. This aims to support its work by restoring and protecting Aussie animal’s homes that were lost in the bushfires.

Whilst the Body shop sells sells a range of different products for many of your pampering needs, they have also released a special edition WWF Koala Headband. For each headband sold, The Body Shop will donate $5 to WWF’s Australian Wildlife and Nature Recovery Fund.

It aims to support impacted species and restore habitat by saving and growing two billion trees by 2030. Therefore creating safe spots for koalas, and helping to implement Indigenous and rural fire management.
So next time you buy your next pampering set from the Body Shop, why not check out with a koala band and help recover our fragile land lost in the devastating bushfires.
