Lottie Moss is one of those beautiful young things making waves in the modelling world. It helps if you share a surname with one of, if not the biggest supermodels of all time, Kate. It also helps if you too are genetically blessed; a fine frame, pronounced cheekbones and those wide-set, doe-like eyes which cemented her sister into fashion folklore.

Similar to her half-sister, Lottie is that smaller breed of model, standing tall (or small) at 5″5, perhaps paving the way for a petite upsurge gracing glossy covers.

Lottie, who just turned 18 in January, shares the editorial stage with boy-of-the-moment, Lucky Blue Smith. With a quiff a sky-high platinum blonde hair, black bushy eyebrows and, as his namesake suggests, brilliant blue eyes, Lucky Blue is just about everywhere. The 17-year-old (yes, he’s only 17) is the fashionable flavour of the month, walking on catwalks from London to New York and all that’s in-between.

Perhaps the most lauded sartorial cover to land, the Vogue Paris May, 2016 edition states: “A new generation is taking on the fashion world and they’re determined to shine”. And shine they do, literally, with Lottie dripping in gold Saint Laurent; wearing a high-neck, Lurex-like, golden dress by Hedi Slimane. Lucky is well-suited in black, with a slice of coordinating gold leopard peeping at the collar. Lensed by the masterful Mario Testino, the teenagers appear anything but youthful, they are as grown-up as ever.

The cover is testament to the current cultural landscape, where a famous last name seems to be your passport to success. This said, it seems Lottie is one very Lucky girl.

With her lyrical turn of phrase and penchant for uber-glamour, Chrisanthi Kaliviotis is in her element writing about beauty for The Carousel, while weaving in fun fashion and pop culture references. She also loves a road test, so we send many of the new hair tools that arrive her way (she actually knows how to use them). Have you seen that hair?
