That was the week that was, and oh my wasn’t it wonderful! The Big Apple turned on the fash-pack in full force to bring us the hottest trends for 2015 and we’re not just talking about the threads! Designers from Alexander Wang to Carolina Herrera decked out their models from top to toe in Spring/Summer trendsetting gorgeousness – and their hands were no exception! From nude naturals to pop brights and patterned pastels, cult polish brand essie shows us the way…
Alexander Wang
Throwback gingham prints met modern silhouettes and pearl details at Altuzarra’s eclectic Spring show. Sensual pastels and lush red floral tops contrasted with sexy black leather caged separates.
Carolina Herrera
Sharp lines and soft folds. A spectral palette of color from vibrant pinks, iris blue, majestic purples to grey tones and sunshine yellows. Carolina Herrera’s new take on techno fabric is seductive and feminine. Floral motifs are highlighted in graphic prints and accompanied by chiffon overlays and appliqués in this stunning Spring show.
Naeem Khan
Sequins sparkled their way down Naeem Khan’s runway on everything from pullovers and track pants to floor length gowns. A stunning red and black embroidered open back dress wowed the audience. The rainbow of colors ranged from pretty pinks and golds to pale blue and radiant emerald.
Rebecca Minkoff
Breezy pastel dresses and artfully ruffled skirts are juxtaposed with Cambridge stripes and oxford blues to capture the duality of the modern woman. Techno mesh and 3D designs give the collection an overall avant-garde feel.
Sophie Theallet
Inspired by her trip to Montego Bay, Sophie Theallet translated reggae culture into a chic Spring collection. Black eyelet dresses were lined with Rastafarian yellow, red and green for a bright pop of color. Jamaican flower printed separates and a sequined summer tweed, that twinkled like sunshine, were totally new and unexpected.
