3 Must-Have Beauty Treatments For Every Bride

Dress? Check. Accessories? Check. Hair and make-up booked? Double check. Looking your finest is obviously a must – read on for the top beauty treatments to try before the special day.

Omnilux

If you’re short on time but want brighter skin in an instant, then you’ll love Omnilux. It’s a light-therapy treatment that targets fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and acne, and is non-invasive. One visit for me made my skin absolutely shine – some freckles disappeared, and I had that lit-from-within glow that had people wondering if I’d been on holidays recently. The only discomfort were the intense bright lights during the session (even under ‘goggles’) but you get used to it within the first 10 minutes. For maximum benefits, they recommend 6-9 treatments (2-3 times a week), and it only takes 20 minutes of your day.

Dermalogica BioSurface Peel

It may be enough to send shivers down your spine (thanks to Samantha Jones’ incident on SATC) but chemical peels don’t have to be scary. The new and improved version of it is gentle on skin, yet effective in smoothing out uneven skin texture, erasing pigmentation and brightening your complexion. During your visit, your consultant will start with a “tingle test”; popping a small amount of product on your skin to see how it reacts to it. A slight sensation is what you’ll feel – it’s nothing more than a tickle. The texture of my skin was ultra-smooth after 1 session, but for best results, visit 4-6 times weekly. Best of all, there’s no downtime afterwards, and minimal side effects – your skin may be a little pink but it’s barely noticeable at all.

CoolSculpting

Ever wanted to remove fat from arms, belly or legs? I was sceptical when I first heard about CoolSculpting, but it made sense after some research. In a nutshell, this non-invasive procedure freezes fat cells in your body, which will eventually die and melt away, leaving you with a slimmer appearance. There’s no recovery time afterwards, and you’ll notice a difference after one 60-minute session, and there’s no need to repeat areas. Not everyone is suitable for this treatment though, so it’s best to book into a consultation to check first.
