The Carousel’s Lifestyle Writer Bianca Spendlove and Beauty Editor Chrisanthi Kaliviotis experience the 1 Day ACUVUE® DEFINE™ contact lenses with fantastic results.

Here is the transcript of their video.

Chrisanthi: We’re road-testing a new product today. One that combines better health with a boost to your appearance – it’s a win-win!

Three Ways to Wear Wet-Look Hair

Bianca: These contact lenses were created to improve your vision, protect your eyes AND enhance the way they appear… we’re going to see how.

Chrisanthi: Neither of us had ever worn contacts before being introduced to the ACUVUE® DEFINE™ range, so we were excited to try them out. We weren’t really big fans of the classic coloured lense that mask our true eye colour, so the ACUVUE® DEFINE™ range seemed perfect.

Here are our ‘before and after’ shots – see the difference?

DEFINE

Bianca: The lenses come in a range of styles, so luckily Chrisanthi and I each get to try one that suits our unique eye characteristics. Because I have light eyes, I’m inserting the sparkle range and because Chisanthi has dark eye features, she’s using the shimmer. They’re straightforward to pop in, even for beginners like us.

Bianca: How’ve they made a difference to your eyes?

Chrisanthi: I think having them in is almost like a natural Instagram Filter or ‘facetune’.  It works by defining the eye’s limbal ring – that’s the dark circle that separates the iris from the white of the eye. As we age, that feature in our eye naturally fades, so the secret to the 1 Day ACUVUE® DEFINE™ lenses is that they add depth and illumination.

Chrisanthi: So, how about you Bianca? Do you think you look better with or without them?

Bianca: I definitely like the appearance of my eyes more WITH them. I feel that wearing the lenses in every-day situations would make me more likely to engage with people and make eye contact because I like the way my eyes look. It’s the next step up from wearing eye makeup – almost like eye-liner where it’s needed most, within your eye, for that extra definition.

Bianca: So I wear glasses normally for work but I’d definitely use the prescription version of these contacts.  How about you Chrisanthi… when would you wear them?

Chrisanthi: Well, they’re disposable so intended to be worn for 12-hours a day.  They come in packs of 30 or 90 so I can wear them whenever I want. As a Beauty Editor I always want to look my best, so with the extra impact these lenses give to my eyes, I’d definitely wear them to work – and of course on a date. They’re great for anyone who wants their eyes to stand out for that special occasion. Even those people who normally wear contact lenses should try these out. The only time you shouldn’t wear them is when you’re swimming.

Chrisanthi: And there’s the benefit of the lenses contain UV-protection. While we still have our sunglasses it’s nice to know that our eyes are extra protected. That’s an added bonus.

Bianca: It’s true, sometimes sunnies can hide your eyes, especially if you’re trying to make eye-contact with a certain someone!  And the beauty-bonus of the 1 Day ACUVUE® DEFINE™range of lenses is that they give your eyes that extra ‘pop’ and shine that doesn’t look artificial or unnatural.

Bianca: Thanks to ACUVUE® for introducing us to the new range, we love it.
