They are films about creatives, artisans, and the devoted (and often beleaguered) teams that help them realise their vision. They document the dogged and their blood, sweat and tears. And now, with the passing of Giorgio Armani at 91,  a designer who redefined elegance and empowered generations of stars and stylists — these stories feel even more poignant. Armani, often called the “first postmodern designer,” built an empire on minimalist tailoring and left an indelible mark on both fashion and film. His legacy reminds us why these documentaries matter: they capture the genius, the grit, and the grace behind the seams
