“What’s the difference between treatments and your regular old skincare anyway?” you, the reader, fairly asks. I always think that treatment products are things that delivery “instant” results – they are your go to emergency backups. While often they come in the form of masks more and more we are seeing an increase in fast, results focused serums, and ampoules as well. We have rounded up our favorite treatments that promise results in two weeks or less (and some of them deliver them instantly – even better!)

Trilogy Vitamin C Booster Treatment

Best of Vitamin C Treatments - Trilogy Vitamin C Booster Treatment
Trilogy Vitamin C Booster Treatment, $39.95, available at Trilogy.com or Priceline.

Vitamin C is hands down one of the best things you can do for your skin. It boosts collagen production, which means less fine lines and wrinkles and diminished dark spots. However, it also provides antioxidant protection, essential for city dwellers. Vitamin C’s powerful antioxidant properties create a shield that neutralizes “free radicals” (read: gross city air). It also neutralizes damage caused by UV radiation. For this reason I always wear a Vitamin C serum under my sunscreen when I am out and about. I think of it as secondary protection! This beauty from Trilogy contains a whopping 6% Vitamin C. The serum is “activated” upon first use, ensuring maximum potency. After two weeks of twice daily use you can expect an increase in brightness and hydration. Perfect for any occasion.

Best of Eye Treatments: Skin111 Sub Zero De Puffing Eye Treatment Mask
111Skin Sub Zero De Puffing Eye Mask, $128.00 for 8-Pack, available at Mecca.com.au

These beauties are life savers for long-haul flights and late nights. Inspired by the invigorating effects of extreme cold on skin the Sub-Zero masks harness a tetrapeptide complex that instantly smooths and tightens puffy eyes, whilst plumping fine lines with a burst of hydration. In the meantime like a cool-compress to a bruise they diminish discoloration under the eyes like nothing else. With a five star rating on Mecca.com and rave reviews in Harper’s Bazaar, Tatler and Vogue these are industry certified eye treatments. We recommend storing them in the fridge for an extra cooling effect and tightening effect.

Nivea Hyaluron Cellular Filler Ampoules

Best of Face Treatments: Nivea Cellular Filler Ampoules
Nivea Cellular Filler Ampoule, $12.99-$39.99, available at Chemist Warehouse

Nivea are just one beauty giant jumping on the K-Beauty trend for ampoules and treatment products. They have added to their beloved Cellular Filler range with these ampoule-booster treatments designed to treat dehydration and loss of volume. They have launched in perfect time for winter (and flu season which has had this beauty editor’s skin dry and flaking) and we couldn’t be happier to see more accessible treatment products popping up at the drug store! Utilizing high levels of skin plumping superstar hyaluronic acid the ampoules are designed to stimulate collagen production of a period of one week. Each ampoule is resealable and contains enough serum for a seven day period – so get cracking!

Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel

Best of Face Treatments: Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi Spa Pack
Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi Spa Peel Pack, $98.00, at Mecca.com.au

Most treatments will do very little if they are sitting on top of a layer of dry, dead skin cells – so give them a fighting chance and make sure you’re exfoliating properly. Dr Dennis Gross has added to his much loved Alpha Beta Peel-Pad range with his first clinical-grade peel product. Whilst his Alpha-Beta peel-pads can be used daily this product is so potent it is once a week only. The first step contains 15 Alpha and Beta hydroxy acids that clean the surface of the skin and inside the pore. After sweeping these over the skin, let them sit and do their work for five minutes. You can then nourish your skin and neutralise the peel with a luxurious peptide serum. This healing blanket of peptides, squalene, retinol, hyaluronic acid and antioxidants will neutralise the powerful acids and blanket your skin in healing, regenerating and nourishing ingredients. This peel is a one stop shop for congestion, dryness, dullness and texture. Wake up to your best face.

PCA Skin Body Therapy

Best of Body Treatments: PCA Skin Body Therapy Lotion
PCA Skin Body Therapy Treatment Lotion, $64.00, available at Advancedskin.com.au

Hydration doesn’t stop at the neck and neither should exfoliation. Cleopatra is rumored to have bathed in sour donkey milk to reap the benefits of lactic acid – fortunately in 2019 we don’t need to resort to these measures. We can save ourselves from dry and crusty knees and elbows by incorporating this 12% Lactic Acid body moisturiser. Lactic acid is one of the most hydrating exfoliating acids and the this formula doubles down on those properties with a helping hand from hyaluronic acid and shea butter. Treat yourself like a queen.
